What an inspired and inspiring event !!! Speeches that are intelligent and intelligible not just ramblings and rantings and not plagiarized. As an English woman living in Germany , but with some good American friends I wish you success in your endeavours . And how good it was to listen to both Michelle and Barack Obama deliver such optimistic uplifting words while still warning about the dangers of complacency . It was reminiscent of past speeches he delivered and the joyousness he spread in all the countries where his broad smile beamed and his humour brought laughter. Listening lifted even my spirits who has nothing to do with the USA elections. There is something universal in BO's speeches they call for goodness and decency. May goodness prevail over evil , corruption and self interest all over the world !!

I live in a "Red County"in WA State and the vitriol of the area's dominating party is scary, but I am so proud of being a Democrat even if it is dangerous to share. To watch the convention and listen to the speeches coming from the pure love of country and the hope for harmony between neighbors, who I am sure would not, at the very least, speak to me if they knew of my political affiliations, is up lifting. To be even one vote on the side of democracy is an honor even though it has very little meaning where I live. May God Bless this country and its protectors, the Democratic Party, and may those that have ears hear the truth and recognize it as real freedom.
It shouldn't be hard...but proves decency and love for your neighbors...all neighbors... It takes gutts..I understand! But it isn't just about our selfish future... It's about the generations after us and who we love! I can finally feel JOY again! And have some hope, that the great experiment called democracy can prevail above fascism...
The talent at this convention takes your breath away.... dedicated, articulate, learned, compassionate and caring public servants. The Democratic party has a deep bench of class A team members.

Thats the most scripted relationship ever in American politics. They had to clear customers out of a restaurant the other day to make room for their little photo op because they cant have any real people around, its all scripted. Then they went to a gas station (a gas station the Biden/Harris administration is currently suing in court) and did a fake photo op there too where Kamala asks him for Corn Nuts and he gives her Doritos and she acts like thats exactly what she just asked for just to keep the smiles going. In my opinion, this was one of the more effective Democratic National Conventions that I have witnessed. Although my perspective may be limited due to my millennial status, I believe that our party's convention successfully showcased influential individuals who conveyed our message with both enthusiasm and conviction. In contrast, the Republican National Convention appeared to lack the same level of energy and optimism. I encourage everyone to exercise their right to vote and support the Democratic candidates, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, in the upcoming election. Together, we can achieve our goals and move our country forward.

Nobody voted for when she actually ran for president the proper way. She got zero delegates, less than 1% of the vote. What has changed? Nobody actually wanted her to run anything. Shes literally a double diversity hire who was installed as the Democrat nominee due to 3.5 years of gaslighting the American people saying that Biden is fine, nothing to see here while he blinks and stutters and falls and crumbles. As a Canadian who follows World politics closely, the Obama years were heartening and inspirational and it was a joy to experience their intelligence, decency and exquisite leadership tonight. When the world’s fate hinges on what America does next, my despair has turned to optimism that Kamala Harris is made of the same fabric; she is clearly just as focused on the ethics of leadership. I would vote if I could but instead, I will watch with anticipation the first black, south asian and woman president sweep this election. Blessings to our neighbours.

I have never experienced a trio of speakers - Doug, Michelle and Barack - who, through very powerful speeches, conveyed a humanity, a truthfulness, and an awful lot of great one-liners that need to resonate through the channels of social media from now through Nov. 5, particularly those one-liners. Put them on bumper stickers, t-shirts and hats. That slide show of Doug's life, narrated by his son, should be condensed into a media campaign ad. And those three champions of democracy need to travel the country, particularly in red rural counties, and tell those people the real truth.
We need a living wage that can give dignity to those under minimum wage all their lives and who like me destroyed my own body to make others rich😢 always left out 😢
