I did not watch this live but just watched all 3 hours. I grow orchids when I don’t do Disney. And spent the whole 3 hours watering and feeding orchids. Thank you for keeping me entertained and interested for 3 hours. It made tending to my orchids less tedious.
I absolutely love the livestreams! Look forward to all your videos. Was in and out of the livestream due to my three kiddos, but paused to finish watching later. 😊
I’ve literally watched all of your videos currently planning out yearly trip to Disney thanks to all of your videos I’ve found amazing deals and understand how everything works! I wish I had found your videos on our first time visiting Disney but now I’ll make our trip ten times better thanks to your videos!
Thank you for letting us hang out with you today. I enjoy your videos and will be heading to Disneyland and San Diego in October (from Wollongong 😊). I’ll say hi if I’m lucky enough to see you in the park!
Sorry I couldn't make it to the live, hard for me to watch anything live with little kids! But I watched this over the course of a couple of nights. I'm sure there were other things I wanted to comment on from the beginning of the video but I can't remember anymore haha! So I will just say a few things.. I think the best way to do Disney/theme parks with a large group is to only plan a few things to do all together. Like plan to do lunch together and then an attraction or 2 after. Then everyone can do their own thing all the other times. Since you're a Disney planner guy, I'd probably just let the rest of the fam know what you plan to do with your little family (like rope drop and which attraction) so if anyone wants to join they can but no one feels obligated or frustrated when you guys cant catch up, esp if everyone wants to prioritize different things. I am also introverted and my husband is extroverted. And I always said the same thing as well - I couldn't be with an introvert cuz it's just awkward! On our first date, he talked probably 90% of the time lol! Def need the extrovert to bring me out.. and also after getting to know someone I'll talk a lot more! But depending on my mood, the environment or whatever.. I find that if someone else is more introverted than me, I'll be more of the extrovert and try to get them to talk more! Maybe that'll be my role if we run into you in the parks lol! Also, had no idea FreshBaked was even more introverted than you! So funny how so many introverts are so great on camera! I know some actors are like that too! Thanks for sharing more parts of your lives with us!
Thanks for letting us know that comments help the channel, did not know that always left a thumbs up. Going to DL marathon in September had not been in 9 years, like to see updates of the park. Love the kitties, have a family of 5, mom and kids.
As an idea for a video, I am interested in knowing all of the exclusive access one has with the Magic Key. Not excluding access to food or merchandise. I know there are discounts available, but more interested in the earlier mentioned access.
@@carolg3201 We’ve had a few requests for a Magic Key video. I’ll be sure to work one in soon. Especially if they announce it’ll be available again soon. No guarantees, but August is most likely if it’s going to happen.
I agree with Amy--renting DVC points sounds awesome, but yeah, zero flexibility. So I doubt we'll ever do it. PS I've visited North Dakota. There aren't many people!
Hi guys, just wanted to say that I absolutely love your channel. Me and my family will visit California in August. We‘re from Germany and this is my biggest dream to come true. It‘s because of you that we bought combined Genie+ tickets for Disneyland and now even have a rope drop strategy 🙈. I have been to Walt Disney World and of course to Disneyland Paris in the past but now I‘m super excited to my first time ever in California. Can‘t wait. Would love to meet you guys in the park. Maybe I will be a lucky Padawan. 😉
Stayed until the end! I’m so happy to support your channel and that you’ve been able to make this your full time income! I’d be doing the same thing if I lived close enough to
You helped me with out last trip! My family was skeptical about the buddy pass for Monsters Inc and I told them SoCal Disney Dad showed this to me and they were amazed when we walked right on the ride! We also did single rider this time on Radiator Springs Racers and it was only a 20 minute wait vs an hour and a half. Thank you!
Hi guys. We are DVC members with our home resort AKL - Kidani. We have 160 points. This enables us to go to Disney every 2 years using 2 years' worth of points. We get 2 weeks stay. This suits us well as we come from the UK. This year, we are splitting our stays by first going to WDW and then, for the first time, going to DL!! Super excited. Really hope we will see you guys at the parks! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
That sounds about right. We were quoted for 100 points, so we would need 300 points for our usual 10 day vacation. Thus the borrowing from 3 different years worth of points.
Amy, I’m from Manitoba, not quite North Dakota, but almost lol! We’re in grand forks and Fargo often to shop in the states, or order packages that don’t ship to Canada 😁
This was my first live stream and I had to leave about 40 min in, but can't way to rewatch the rest. Hope summers stay crowd light because that is why we will be attempting a trip next July. Want to see pixar fest and experience regular haunted mansion. My questions were - What do you and Amy do for couple time/anniversaries and what are some good date ideas for Disneyland? Doing a couples only trip in April with my hubby. Thinking reservations at Lamplight lounge? Thanks for all you do! The next few videos sound amazing like always! ❤
Our more basic "date night" involves Indian food and a movie. But we'll do all sorts of things if we have the time for it, like little getaways up to Solvang for some amazing Danish food. At Disneyland, we often celebrate with some pricier meals like Storytellers Cafe, or by visiting our favorite restaurants (Amy's is Cafe Orleans, mine might be the new Din Tai Fung. That's going to be my birthday request this year). Lamplight is great and would be a good one to get reservations for.
My husband and I just bought the incredible pass Disney World. We live in Phoenix and ❤ we’re taking a very long trip in 2025 for our 50th wedding anniversary. And it was cheaper than buying all those tickets plus we’re going to get the benefits of the discounts. This is the only way the pass would be beneficial for us because we only go to Disney World maybe once a year❤❤
We didn't catch you all live but we watched this weekend!! Perhaps we can catch you live next month. Any chance you can start earlier, for the east coast fans, like us?
Hi, we are planing to go to Disneyland and DCA the last week of July. We are going Monday-Wednesday. Do you think the crowds will be very high? By the way, watching your videos always helps us when we visit the park! 😊
Thanks for the video! Looking at the calendar mid August still shows the Pixar fireworks prior to the start of Halloween. Is that normal? Do they usually just carry the last show until the next season even if the event has ended?
Hi Trevor and Amy sorry I missed your Live vlog I been busy and I’m not feeling well today I have created a new You Tube channel it’s the same but different I miss your vlogs I have subscribe to your channel hope to see you on your next live stream tell James and Benjamin hello for me
Traver, do you remember the video you did where you and Amy showed us what was around Disneyland, but not going to the park? I have tried to find it, but haven't been successful. Could you please share the link to it? Thank you.

Loving these live streams! One of these days I’ll try to catch it live 😂 I have a question: we are planning a Disney trip for 2025 and we’re leaning towards coming in the summer. The last two years I keep hearing how pleasant the crowds have been and my theory is with magic keys blocked that it’s making summertime pretty nice to go. Would you agree with this and would you recommend going like end of June beginning of July? We’d love to go June 28 because it’s our son’s birthday and we’d love to go for Fourth of July (and yes I’m sure that day would be crowded). If not those dates when would you recommend to go in the summer?
@@amyrogalsky6983 That would be fine. Though Saturdays in July are the best time to go (probably? They were last year. I’ll be there tomorrow filming a crowd update, so check that video this coming week to see for certain). But we had a good time on July 1st which is in your window too. Despite the holiday.
Wish I made it to this live! When will your next one be? Also question for Amy: what has worked the best for motion sickness? I love rides but lately I have gotten very motion sick and it lingers all day.
The patches I used in Florida worked pretty well- though didn’t take it away completely. There is a link to those in the video descriptions. I’ve also heard prescription patches work the best, but they aren’t non-drowsy- Amy
Catching the replay, missed it live. We are planning a trip to San Diego for spring break next year. Will stay at legoland for part of trip, but what’s a good family friendly resort to stay at when we want to go to sea world and the San Diego zoo?
@@kelseyroberts4222 We get this question a lot, but unfortunately even years later I don’t have a good answer for you. Since we live 20 minutes away, we’ve never had any reason to book a hotel. I’d suggest figuring out how you’re handling transportation (rental car? Uber?) and then finding a hotel that fits whichever you choose. For example, if you’re doing a rental car and are more mobile. You may opt for a central location so you don’t have to change hotels. But if you’re Ubering, you might pick something closer to one park if you’ll be spending a few days so you don’t have a longer ride each way multiple times.
Will you be going to Disneyland any time between Aug 26-30? My wife and I are coming from NY and have been watching your videos for the past year planning our vacation and it would be nice to meet you
@@SoCalDisneyDad We've only been to The Grand Canyon so I would be open to any of them. It's just making the time to go and not procrastinating on making plans.
All I mentioned was that I had heard about it, but that I didn't know enough details to intelligently talk about it so wanted to avoid the topic so I didn't do it injustice. However, on a conjecture note, I don't believe Disney will let the workers strike. They'll reach an agreement fast before it comes to that. The threat of a strike is just a pressure move. This isn't like the writer's strike that just delayed production for a few months. This is a theme park where people have planned for months to attend and this may be their once in a lifetime trip. Disney will come under MAJOR fire from guests if the parks close over it. It would be mega bad PR, so I don't believe Disney will let that happen.
Hello Traver and Amy! Hope you are doing well 😊 I have a question for you. We are from Texas where we have some of the hottest temperatures. We will be visiting Disneyland October and would like to know how hot or cool it might be at that time. We want to pack appropriately. As always thank you for the great content!
I try to announce it via Community Post a week ahead of time. This time I only managed one day ahead of time, but will try to give more heads up in the future.
They have plenty of existing audio of Walt talking about animatronics. They'll probably use AI to clean up the audio, but I don't think they'd use it to make him say something he's never said on tape
Haunted mansion, space mountain, turtle talk and Anna and Elsa being closed is a deal breaker for me. We booked our trip for Aug 7 and 8 (at full price, before the sale!!!) Unfortunately we can’t reschedule our trip. It’s either go or cancel it 😡
I did see they are closing the whole Animation Building. All this stuff is happening right after Pixar Fest ends. Disney seems to think Summer is over. 🤔
@@mindy8517 yes and they also mentioned VBS and I’ve seen a video where Amy wore a shirt that said the “kind words are like honey” Proverb so I was like they have to be Christians! 😊
0:03 yesterday during the live broadcast, I posted a suggestion for a future video, you and Amy could have a fun competition, create a list of ten rides and see who can finish quicker, you’d probably need to start with different rides, I have other suggestions for videos, I am not sure how to send or receive messages via RU-vid because I am not tech savvy
That is a fun idea. Though to be fair it would need to be the same 10 rides, but just let us tackle the order on our own without any sort of pre-planning. If the rides were different, it would be hard to make sure they were of equal length. For instance, it's a small world or Pirates of the Caribbean are huge time commitments compared to a ride like Snow White or Pinocchio. It would also give us an opportunity to split off with one kid each and give them some 1-on-1 time which they might really appreciate.
I totally agree, i wasn’t clear in my post, it should be the exact same rides, I meant that you had to agree to start with a different ride from the same list, otherwise you might just go in the same order, yes and one child would go with each parent, and they would enjoy developing the plan, I go to Disneyland on a semi-regular basis because that’s all we can afford, I do a lot of preplanning to maximize fun and minimize walking because it’s exhausting to walk around the parks, and they would lend themselves to your videos, I can share them with you, they take some explaining so it would be easier to send you an email
