LIVE: Docking in MONACO for the F1 

People keep asking the same questions over and over. Figured I would take a crack at them at least. Why divers? There are giant concrete blocks positioned throughout the harbor. The divers tie the lines off to big steel loops sticking out of the blocks. In this crowded of a port, it keeps chaos to a minimum. How much is a berth at F1 in Monaco? The berth that they have right against the track is reserved for 1 week during F1 and costs from 100k euro to 250k euro depending on positioning and beam. Being a member of the Monaco Yacht Club may or may not be required as well, variance comes down to politics. Do they have a charter for F1? No clue honestly but my suspicion would be either yes or the owner blocked charter in order to use her for F1 personally.

I am a sailer and have berthed wee 40ft yachts, in open harbours and it is not easy, I always find it very nerf wrecking, anyway well done, great live stream !! Greetings from Phoenix, AZ.... I could not participate in the live feed, but did watch then entire 4 hours later. For those of us who are huge fans of the Loon family, it was a great video, very entertaining, informative and we got to learn a lot more about our favorite super yacht and its crew! I saw another video on RU-vid, showing you guys tied up next to Titania... nice boat? I thought you were gonna be next to Faith? Loved the video with Nauti Styles.. They changed the green screen to show Monaco which is nice but the A.I. generated crew really sells it. Everything looks so real.

Steve , get hold of the Hollyland Lark 2 radio mics , ideal for your work , small and incredibly light weight , use magnets to hold in place , size of a button . way better that Rode (they are rubbish) and big heavy DJI mics.

I am surprised the lack of planning / info from the port staff, and no numbers on the bollards. If it is 12 mnths reservation time, they should have the map ready weeks in advance and take the yachts in order. ‘Stern to, on bollards 16 and 18’ shouldn’t be hard….

My god this is Monaco dock with some zest! Maybe just 360 & stick it in the spot like nothing. Then blast the horn & drop the walki talk. Ps that pointed tarp over the back took me for a head scratch.

Took me 5 days to get thru this one! Great video! Maybe shave $10 - 20 grand off the berthing fee for the 4 hour wait!

Mind if I ask if what it takes to get into this sort of thing? I’m 18 and have always loved and grew up on boats, and I would really love to work on a charter yacht. Would it be worth leaving my country for? Does it require a lot? How long at a time are you gone for. Just those sort of things I’m curious about. Also loved this‼️ I love watching captains dock a huge boat especially in Monaco, it takes a ton of skill.

Do people in the yachting community have a regard for or even recognise those who have a high profile on social media. Obviously like Captain Paul, chef Nina on Loon. Do they see it as a good thing? Does your presence on social media help to get charters?
