Todd's run on The Incredible Hulk was what got me into comics as a kid. I even sent him a drawing I did recreating one of his Hulk covers, and he not only mailed me back with a preview of Spawn, but he put my name (among many others) in the last issue he did of Spider-Man. Blew my mind as a teenager.
Well Todd, I'd be grateful if you could kindly tell us what is d make of computer and pen you are using to illustrate & execute those fantastic drawings of super heroes!
Iv'e always loved Todd's version of the Hulk and his full run on the book along with writer Peter David is one of my most cherished in my comic book collection. 'kin awesome!!!!!
Hey Tod thanks for these sketches... You're one of my favorite artists esp one of the best in inking... it'd be dream just to ink as half as you do one day.
You should 1st try to understand how digital drawing is done. Majority of the artists make a rough dwg and lowers its layer opacity. Then he draws the fair lines by tracing over it on new layer/s. Many additions or improvements are made on the fair work layers. In some cases rough works drawn on paper are scanned and imported to PS and traced over it in new layer/s
You know I'm thinking, what if Todd made a Marvel figures thats ACCURATELY 6 inch scale and equally as highly detailed as the DC multiverse lines but the proportions and accesories are better? Maybe base the characters looks off his Todd's own artworks?? Would that be a bang for anyone's bucks??
Nope. Bcoz it is one of ways digital artists ink their dwgs. They draw a rough underdrawing. Then lower the opacity of the layer and draw fair lines by tracing over it. It is not the case of tracing some1's art. But tracing to fair out his own rough art
Is this a digital sketch? That little circle under the pen tip makes it appear so, but then there are the sounds of the pen marks, which I guess could be artificial.
I can see the drawing before you draw. What's that about? And it's not shoulder muscles that you're drawing. It's his traps. His deltoids attach at the traps.
He does a light version before the video every time. Every video I've seen has it. He often tells people it's there. This wouldn't take seven minutes for anyone. It'd take like 20.
