Re-live the incredible night at the MCG in 2009 when David Warner made his debut for Australia in a T20 against South Africa. See the entire match, replayed IN FULL right here.
This is literally the very first game of cricket I've ever watched. I just learned the rules in a video that I watched prior to this recording.I hope its a good game
First T20 game I ever watched. I played against Warner in Sydney Grade Cricket about 4 years earlier and he was a leg spinner, we were the youngest 2 blokes on the field and he came in at 8 smacked our opening bowler for 6 over his head out of the ground at Coogee Oval. Literally out of the ground, took 10 minutes to start the game again. What a legend!
I think Warner was the only thing to come out of this summer like South Africa completely beat us in the test cricket, and the one-day cricket, and we only beat them T20. So pretty much the last 10 years except 2014 in against South Africa.
I am from the US and just watched a video on cricket. This is my first game I ever watched,.... I couldn't image watching anything that could last for days. The crowd loves it. I have to admit, I like baseball better, but it was what I grow up with.
To be honest this is way more intense than test cricket (the one that lasts 5 days). This is a format of cricket so that they could rival football, or the same revenue at least. Test cricket most of the time they’re not even trying to hit the ball 😂. Hard to explain but I love it - most Aussies do. Test cricket gets the largest crowds, amazingly, for how long it goes for.
Always great seeing a young guy announce himself to the world on such a big stage as the MCG. Highlight was 1:38:10 with Kallis getting a lucky not out call off his glove, then De Villiers is out hit wicket first ball, painful. Serious pace.
Warner " warned" the entire cricketing world that he has arrived on the scene! But it was sad to see A.B. De Villiers getting injured. His batting partner- Jacques Kallis, did not even walk up a few steps to say a few words of comfort. Still, it was a massively entertaining video ! - Prasad s.kulkarni, Mangalore, India.
I was there, third tier of the Olympic Stand. Got there late so I missed the Warner fireworks early on. He hadn’t even played a Sheffield Shield game at the time.
Got bored and decided to figure out the sport. Watched a Netflix explained thing on the game, and now I’m here. Quite entertaining, and I feel I’d be pretty good at the sport. I was alright at baseball, and feel I’d be better at this sport.
Gwaad i remember watching this match after school n getting mesmerized by this new guy called Warner n going gaga over him next day in school... We are so old man...
As I watch this it’s raining at Sydney test I remember this and the bonus of the late Shane Warne in commentary thanx u tube for throwing this to me live ya
Just imagine what would’ve happened if Sean Marsh would run out David Warner. Seriously how much of Australian cricket could’ve changed, if that had happened.
Ronchi was Australian wk After gilchrist retirement he would had been the main wk but australia drop the ball even after his best performances for western Australia
So remember watching Warner play against Tasmania before this, and watching Warner beat up Tasmania in one day game almost 100 of 30 balls, and I believe Ricky Ponting watch the same match as I did, because Tasmania for why Ricky Ponting why watching. So I guess I want some of the selection praise, and criticism for Warner like 50% at least and I’m joking.
depend on fast bowler, for this reason South african cricket team never win world Cup. For example India, Pakistan, new Zealand they have more than two spin bowler, they are doing well in big tournament . I think South african cricket team included more than two spin bowler every match.
