Hello from Buffalo NY. Been watching for a couple weeks now. GREAT coverage you are giving the world to watch. Started watching because Sal recommended your channel. Gotta applaud EVERYONE that's involved in this MASSIVE operation. it Blows my mind to think about all the planning and logistics it takes to get a job like this done. This 'IS' America at its BEST.... No matter what , (good, bad, big, or small)...... We CAN & WILL get the job done. God Bless EVERYONE that's involved in this operation. Keep up the GREAT work.. THANK YOU, and Be Safe.
I too watch every morning to see the news of the ship’s progress in morning and evening ! To bring me up to date as to see the progress of the recovery of the ships movement ! Please let us know when they plan to move the ship !
I thank you for your time and I moved from Md years ago. My husband traveled the bridge every day. It really hit home and there is an empty spot for the men that lost their lives. I live in Georgia and wish there was some way l could help!God bless the family’s that lost their love ones. If it’s someway I can make a difference for the family’s,please let me know. Thanks Sandy from Georgia.
The workers are doing a fine job with zero injuries. As far as containers, there still hazemat materials on the starboard side and under the steel sticking up.
I saw that they didn't put charges on that steel Because of those hazmat materials/containers. I wish I could remember where I saw that..but they are having to remove that steel with as little damage to those containers as possible.
I can’t believe there’s only one 1000 tonne crane available and it has to do the main straight lifting and ‘claw’ work. Where are all the other major cranes up to 20,000 tonne lifting capacity for the worlds most important salvage job?
There is much larger, more capable equipment in Singapore, and elsewhere in Asia, that could likely have that mess cleaned up in a week or two. Jones act certainly prevents that.
I thought the Jones act only affected the transport of goods. There are several 10,000t plus capacity floating cranes in Europe. Why isn’t this part of the discussion?
Just got through talking to a friend in california. She had no idea that there was Abridge collaps. I send her your information so she can find It herself
When are they are they planing to move the ship ? Do they have a plane for a time to move the ship out to a docking area so they can remove all the Debre In the channel area ? Or are they waiting for a opening in tide or debre to clear the ship of material on it ?
Good morning Captain Andy! I enjoy your daily films. Great clarity and it’s nice to hear what’s happening. Any idea when the Dali is gonna start moving?
“Let’s do a grab and see what we get??” Well that’s about where we are folks! Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate your support. Next big move: Dragging this hunk of busted up ship over to Seagirt so life can proceed,,,
Servant16731 Andy for your info the ship has 10 tons of water pumped in the bow to keep it in the mud and yes there is a lot of debris weight on the bow also but when she ready to move they will pump out the bow and it will rise./
like u said not a lot going on,why is it that the steel upright on the bow has not been removed ,surely that would have been the first lift to do, so 3hrs of nothing i am sorry to say
Battery gets low which makes the headroom of the audio get lower so it becomes easier to exceed the headroom of the audio which causes clipping distortion. Clipping distortion may cause a dynamic range limiter to dip your audio level during the clipping event.
Doing what ? Driving the tugs around ? They should have stayed with the ship until the ship cleared the bridge ! In case of a problem that was caused by loss of engine power as it happened a mile or so more would have prevented the crash ! They should make it a law that the ships that size should be escorted out of the bay and be out in ocean waters ! The ship wasn’t clear of the bridge supports !
Are they planning to open any of the containers ? Or just shipping them out to there destination marked on them when they first saw the cars sticking out of one or two of the containers that were broken open ! Some word was that the cars were stolen and were headed over seas as stolen cars from the Baltimore area ? They had license plates on them checking to see if the cars were stolen !
🤣😂🤣😂 if they started the day of the wreck pulling of containers with cranes and chains putting them on a barge and then pushing it to the port to unload they would still not have them all off 🤣😂🤣😂 A good Port Crane Operator (specially equipped with a spreader bar for picking up containers) does about 25-30 continents an hour, there’s 4700 +/- containers on the ship
