Not sure if you're gonna see this but since you asked and this is one of my favorite topics I figured I'd chime in. Virtue Signalling isn't technically a bad thing. The idea behind virtue signalling is that, people only do good things because they want other people to think they're good. They are signalling their virtue to gain approval, and if there is no one to notice they may not have done anything at all. To give it an example its the difference between someone who recycles because they think its the right thing to do. Versus someone who only recycles when they can make sure everyone around them knows they did. It only really matters if you think someones intent is what makes a thing good or bad. But it can be really annoying in the case of band-wagoners who only support a cause because its popular and want to be liked for it rather than actually caring about it. So I agree people should do virtuous things loud and proud, but it can be annoying when people who don't care get to share the spotlight.

God damn is this a good set, and god damn are these becoming useful! That Jesus anecdote/story is seriously gonna be super helpful going forward - for some reason the Boston Tea Party and Stonewalll among others doesn't seem to do it for some people for some mysterious fuckin reason. One thing I'm starting to notice from various different sides for various different reasons is that some seem to think that anyone being any more violent than letting themselves get pushed around isn't a good thing and is therefore wrong - but what they don't understand is that the majority of people that are properly rebelling likely don't think it's a good thing either, because it isn't - what it is, is fucking necessary. No one (with some choice exceptions *cough* "Mr. President" *cough*) wants to live in a world where it takes fires to get some real fucking attention; to get some real fucking change. But the fact of the matter is that we do, and we have for far too long. It is certainly regrettable, but it is true. People have a right to be pissed off at those that both have too much power and abuse it - whether it be an oppressive government, violent law enforcement or, in Jesus's case, those abusing and molding people's faith for profit. One man's life means a hell of a lot more than buildings (ESPECIALLY government ones), police vehicles and the shit being sold by billion dollar companies. All of that is replaceable. George Floyd, and countless others, are not.
