Dawn & Joyce discuss the positive things about the En Vogue 30th Anniversary performance, her plans for the future, and the latest salvo in the newly reignited "Funky Divas" war.
As a life long EV Fan this made me kinda sad. I pray that one day they can come together. One of The Emotions just passed away, life is short and I would hate that to be the EV legacy. Prayers to a healing of souls to all members and yes Rhona girl move aside and let these women be with their fans.
Sad. I'm so tired of this. I dont want to throw shade but I have to say - both sets of En Vogue need to grow up, work something out and get out there and make some damn money. Do it for your fans too. I've loved EnVogue since day one but I have to say all of this shit is starting to just seem selfish. (none of us are getting any younger)
She needs to do like singer JoJo, do her own CD, load it on itunes and amazon and just rebuild. She has an amazing voice and look, they win when they can keep her focus on the past. Just move forward, don't forget the lessons just press toward the mark.
I feel that the other ladies of En Vogue should have let Dawn and Maxine keep the name "Funky Divas" they deserve to still work as well and they already won the name "En Vogue"
This is embarraasing....and sad for the ladies as a whole. I have loved EnVogue (in its entirety)since I discovered them as a little girl. Greed....is a destructor. So is jealousy. I am appalled to even hear that these things have happened among them. It makes like ZERO sense. Too many of us look up to them and this is a harsh example to set. Not cute.
So the bottom line is she HAS opportunity, but she’s difficult because if it’s not her way it’s the highway. But her feelings are lowkey hurt because they went on without her and she’s made one bad decision after the other when she was in the center of MAINSTREAM success. She’s JEALOUS of this Rhona chick. She can’t imagine the group went on without her. She comes across meek, but don’t be fooled, she’s a trainwreck and will create issues where they don’t exist or if the issue isn’t handled how she feels then it’s everyone else. Saadiq told her they didn’t have money like that, she signed on for a one record deal. And also fired her team to be with him, en vogue would take her back but she’d be joining the current group. What else is she doing besides these low rent interviews that she as a former mainstream artist doesn’t even present herself well. Hair looks crazy, she looks sleepy, all over the place. She needs to rejoin the group and get paid. It’s crazy she’s doing this to herself knowing she has zero prospects. She makes a lot of sense in way but then it’s like do you even want success..? Bailed on en vogue, trashed Raphael, quit rnb divas, and is doing what now beyond these interviews which are totally over saturated at this point.
Dawn and Maxine are legends, they should definitely do an album together. Even if Dawn does a solo album, just release it online and build. She has the star power and voice to do it! What an icon ⭐️
Ready for this DAWN + MAX collab and/or solo projects and then creating something new. I agree with Joyce, too, that the world needs to hear Dawn’s voice and story
So is the problem the contract deal or is it Dawn not being able to complete her solo album?🤔 THEY(En Vogue)did not kick Dawn out the group. According to the members, they had one track left to do for the EV3/4 album when Dawn left the group after Sylvia supposedly gave her an ultimate - sign the contract or else.
