Kev have you retuned the carb since putting on the pipe, because the pipe gives the engine more air flow you'll need to give it more fuel, the best way to adjust the carb is to screw the needles out slowly until it starts boging down then screw it about 1/16 clockwise. If you run it too lean for too long it WILL go bang and parts will be sent to the moon

Wow that is a incredibly stable car, great track car I don’t think it would be very good for stunts but incredibly impressive on a track. I think as far as power goes it seems to have plenty for the track if it was mine I don’t think I would charge the motor until I finally burned it up and then I would get a bigger motor. Great video KEV thanks for sharing.

To lean Kev on the LSN , give it a good tune now that you have fitted the pipe....1/16 of a turn counter clock wise on the LSN , until its right , then adjust your Idle screw etc.....

Yup little high on idle and sounds a little lean on the low speed needle. Try richening it up about a quarter turn kev💯

@@373motomx2 The carbs on the 5T doesn't need a 1/4 turn adjustment to richen it of lean it out. 1/16 is typically all you need, sometimes an 1/8 at max. Trust me, I own a 5T.

Lane Waite I’ve owned a couple baja’s Yes you’re correct however his is pretty lean on the idle circuit so a 1/8 or 1/4 turn be ideal. 1/4 might be to much but it’s better to be a little rich then a little lean

@@373motomx2 I've got a Baja 5b white the 26cc and I think I've got 1 and a half on the low and 1 and 3 quarters on the high might be a little bit more but I've got a higher compression piston without a tuned pipe

Oh boy. That thing lands and revs like a boss. I had a bit of a problem with the top end of the rev range of your other petrol RC monster truck (don't remember it's name). It sounds like it won't rev higher at some point and in my mind... 2 stroke engines should accelerate just like this one. 😌

Thinking that Losi is a perfect match for you Kevin, There's always been something about that brand that has oodles of handling... great suspension and a drive line that, really....... does it's job. Bigger cars do much better on tracks this size... always but with your Racing experience... and this car... it's getting a bit frightening Kevin..... You're lines at times are spot on!!!

I just got my first Nitro a fully upgraded Jato 3.3 to try my hand at it! And I'm looking at the HPI Baja Bs Buggy or this Losi 👍👍👍 There is the coolest Nitro I've ever seen for sale rn too in my area. It's a dual Nitro engine Lightning that's never even had gas in it! Think it'd be a really cool truck to even just keep on the shelf with the gorgeous dual Nitro Engine setup 🔥🔥🔥 Love your video as always Kev!!!

The 5t is much more stable than the smaller vehicles. The heavy weight lots of suspension travel and large wheels mean the 5t takes the little bumps and ripples in the carpet surface much smoother than the smaller lighter cars

You really shouldn't put 120 octane in that the most I would do is 95 but 92 is the best, I doubt that would even be able to run on 120

@@redblue40rc33 dirt bikes have a higher compression ratio and hotter spark, 120 octane wouldn't combust in the engine without modifications but if it did combust it will most likely trash the engine
