I agree that we shouldn't treat reading the whole Bible as just another box to check ✔️. However, I can't tell you HOW MUCH MORE the Holy Spirit opened my understanding when I read the whole Bible! My relationship with the LORD grew so much deeper when I made up my mind to read the entire Word of God! We can't possibly get the big picture of God's character and His unfailing love until we read ALL of His Word. I know that sometimes getting through certain books can be a bit rough. But one tip I have found that really helps get through those books is to read along with an Audio Bible. It really helps to hear👂 it at the same time you see 👀 the words on the page. "ALL Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, II Timothy 3:16 "ALL Scripture" ... That means even Leviticus. LOL 🤣
I couldn’t agree more! I committed to reading the whole Bible this year and my walk with the Lord has grown SO much and he has expanded my understanding of who He is and how the testaments work together!
Leviticus was nothing compared to Numbers. 😅 But yes, I'm trying so hard to get through the entire Bible with my adult eyes after having read in when I was a teenager. I didn't really understand half of what I was reading and I know I didn't retain any information from it.
Fellow pastors wife here.... I just want to thank you for taking time to share your knowledge with us! I love studying the Bible and your videos and courses have helped so so much! I have them all and just grabbed the reading plan and videos yesterday!
I bought myself a NKJV interleaved and am loving it too! Also I am so glad I took Faith's advice and invested in the Bible Knowledge Commentaries. I love them
im watching the replay, i have went through bible study bootcamp twice. i am half way through theology bootcamp! i am so thankful for you and Joe! I love all your videos! thank you Faith for everything you do! I was a Patron, but had to stop due to money issues. i hope that in the future, i can be on the top tier! i want as much as i can get! I hope you and Joe and those precious boys have a Merry Christmas!!
I think I know where the battle lies about producing interweave Bibles. I’m 71 & I was always looked down at in my teens (& on), for even underlining in my Bible, let alone putting in notes & thots & prayers. So I think the industry is slow & maybe suspicious of this ‘trend’? But they’re coming along! The Inspire & the Beautiful Word Coloring Bible (oh so heavy to hold, that one🤪. Tho is indeed beautiful!) And now the Wide Margins…. And I read enough comments to know a big part of the Body still feels you should not color, write in, or decorate (in praise, I might add) to the HOLY Bible! They have yet to learn it is a workbook; a living place to meet w/ & learn of God! If He, who created this world w/ so much color, beauty, prose etc. is offended by writing in His Word, that isn’t the God I know. However, change takes time. So we all must keep asking & voicing what we want & need. Thanks for being a great spokeswoman for space to dig in!
I am taking your Bible Study Bootcamp now and I love it. It has helped me so much already and I am at Prophet, Priest, King. I already know that I am going to take your theology Bootcamp too!!! I really appreciate all that you do Faith, it helps a lot.
After you’re rested , Can you do a video on explaining more about the reading plan and how you put it together. How much of it is chronicle and themed ?
You are so smart to take some time to rest! Rest a bit longer than you think you need so that God can fill you full again. Your babies and your hubby needs you to be rested and filled by the Lord.
Take time to rest in the Lord. Explanations aren't necessary. The Holy Spirit is guiding you. So renew your spirit, your mental and emotional self. Thanks for all you do for the word of God, your channel is a God send.❤
Bible Nerds, does anyone know of an interleaved bible that has all the books separate? I love the idea of an interleaved bible, but due to a disability I need to minimise the heaviness of things I carry. I know there are various bibles that are made up of individually bound books, but what I don’t know is if there is such a thing with lots of note space…
Go to Christian Book Distributers and search for Scripture Journals. They have them in ESV, NKJV and I believe NLT. They have separate books with a full page to write on next to each scripture page.
Yes!!! The ESV illuminated scripture journals are amazing! Or the NLT Filament Bible journals. Same thing. They are a great size to take with you. Amazing quality as well. You’re able to buy all the books of the Bible separately. I hope this helps!!!
The esv comes in 3 different versions - black, illuminated, and a set by Ruth chou simons. The ones by Ruth are only NT, but they have gorgeous covers.
Aaww noooo I missed it 😢😢 Do you ever do scheduled lives so I can make sure to be here? I've been waiting to see you live ❤ hope all is well and get some rest! 0:52
Question for you -- do you still offer your Bible resource you created? I bought a Bible and started journaling in it! I really want to understand the books as I read them! If so do you have a discount code for it?!
Regarding cliff notes- @faith the white font on the yellow background is SO HARD to read 😢. Content is great, just wish i could read them more easily 🤪
THANK YOU for highlighting (~24-25 minute mark) that Christian scholars are just as much members of the body of Christ as non-scholars are. Anti-intellectualism, while a feature of certain more recent movements of Christianity, is ultimately harmful to the overall knowledge and wisdom of "ordinary" (non-scholarly) members of the Body.
And another comment (~32 minutes): I know you've done many word study videos, and I've watched just a few of them--but I'm wondering how common the perception is that knowing a Biblical language's grammar = just knowing the vocabulary. My husband is teaching biblical Greek to me and a small group of others from our church, and the *grammar* and *culture* of the original language is by far the more complex aspect of truly knowing what the Greek text of ___ Bible passage says and means. 😅
@dawnrobertson @ 42:00 if you ever see this I hope the below Bible verses help you as much as they help me. I also pray every day for my husband's salvation and that one day he will take the role of spiritual leader of our home. I'm praying for you as I type this. Blessings to you. 1 Peter 3:1-2 3 Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, 2 when they see your respectful and pure conduct.
Of course using commentaries isn’t going away from the Holy Spirit! I’m sure the Christians that wrote them prayed over every step of the process and that He would use their work to bless/teach/encourage/correct/etc. other Christians!
❤ Hi. I consider you the most sound in social area sister. I wish you give me advice, what would you do. In Ukraine majority of people are religious and clueless about the biblical simple truths. Do you think I better tell them without consideration about their opinions ad so avoid unnecessary dialogues and proving im right or like a parent give them much less but chewed and put in their mouthes in a little spoon? People dont know me, never met me. How would you do? P.S. Are you related to Tiffany Amber Thiessen?
I'm not sure where you get the idea that members of the Church of Jesus Christ do not believe that Jesus is divine. We absolutely believe that he is and we are saved in his blood.
Lies and half Truth's, but never the truth. No wonder there are 50000+ protestant denominations, each one a lie, since "a half truth" is a nice term for a lie.
