The band Live playing their song 'I Alone' at the Paradiso, Amsterdam. Taken from the CD/DVD 'Live at the Paradiso'. Order at bol.com: clk.tradedouble...
I was lucky enough to see them live in the 90s and i tell my children it was one of the best i have ever witnessed...blesses to have been to one in their prime...so good
It's incredible because it's completely natural for him I think this what it is... Effortless that's what I was thinking of. Seeing him step up to the mic and sound Just Like he always did in recordings..💥💯
HERE ARE THE LYRICS FOR ALL TO ENJOY : It's easier not to be wise And measure these things by your brains I sank into Eden with you Alone in the church by and by I'll read to you here, save your eyes You'll need them, your boat is at sea Your anchor is up, you've been swept away And the greatest of teachers won't hesitate To leave you there, by yourself, chained to fate I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you Fear is not the end of this! I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you It's easier not to be great And measure these things by your eyes We long to be here by his resolve Alone in the church by and by To cradle the baby in space And leave you there by yourself chained to fate I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you Fear is not the end of this! I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you Oh, now, we took it back too far Only love can save us now All these riddles that you burn All come runnin' back to you All these rhythms that you hide Only love can save us now All these riddles that you burn yeah, yeah, yeah I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you Fear is not the end of this! I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you I alone love you I alone tempt you I alone love you.......
That was an incredible crowd. This is the difference between a show and an experience - you've paid for one, but there's more than promised if you show the enthusiasm.
🎯💯💯 it would have been really interesting to see how it had been written up if there was a journalist present.... I'm sure he must have seen what I saw which was beyond charismatic power and presence.... Very much reminds me of well of some you kno faith healer in the movie or something
this iz an amazing song, great performance and most emotional response of the wonderful crowd ever..that's what rock is all about.. so special..love&respect!
#Coronavirus2020 It's 3:35 AM and I can't sleep but I Alone Love You. Great find tonight, fantastic, and can Amsterdam rock or what? Saw them in Philadelphia, PA in the 90's, rocked the Mann, hell yeah! Peace & Love All
Jannis Layman Paradiso is sure a little peace of heaven in centre of Amsterdam. The atmosphere is amazing no matter who’s playing... Try Beth Hart Paradiso if you have another sleepless night :)
Holy crap I love this band, i remember seeing Live live in Toronto at the Amphitheater years ago, I've never forgotten it! Wish you'd come again gentlemen, it's time. Let's do this.
BRILLIANT lead-in. What a phenomenal experience just watching this video on a computer screen. I can only imagine how FUCKING AWESOME it was to actually have been there.
Ed played a great set, 19 yrs ago, back in Toronto Ontario, @ Shoreline Studios. 102.1 The Edge gave free tix away.. and this was an amazing concert back then. I believe Ed, back in the day had long hair too, back in the "Grunge" era... If you ever get a chance to see LIVE.... it's worth it!
Live just finished up doing a tour with the awesome Canadian band The Tea Party in Australia. If you've never heard The Tea Party i highly suggest giving them a listen, they have a big following here in Canada & i actually live in the city they are from which is Windsor,Ontario. The Tea Party is also huge in Australia as well, TTP have been around since the late 80's.
I have to say that after all these years they sound great live here. Along with the other songs they sang for this concert that I've heard today. Awesome quality video. Thanks for sharing this classic with us. : )
+Richard van Wengen Well you should be proud of that my friend..How bad I want to visit your country. It's so beautiful and the people are just awesome..Greetings from Newfoundland Canada!!
I absolutely agree. I tried to love the two last albums, and after many many listenings I've given up... Throwing copper and Secret Samadhi were so powerful, I still get shivers when I listen to them.
This band has been around the block, and there most commercial times have been over for a quite a while. But they have managed to maintain and grow their musicianship, and fan base. This crowd is singing their old songs....fairly well...these people still listen to these songs all the time....that is impressive. They totally rock any venue they perform at....my hat is off
