You are one of my favorite vocalists......irregardless of microphone shootouts etc.....I mean solely as a vocalist......a real gift in an era devoid of Jack Jones, Steve Lawrence, Vic Damone, Julius LaRosa, let alone Sinatra, Sammy, Dean et al.......carry on!

@@craigsaxonmusic9372 I’m glad my videos helped. These are great stepping stone mics for people who want great quality mics, but can’t afford to go for the higher end boutique mics yet. Enjoy it and make some good music.

I love the beat. My imagination took me to a place I want to escape to. You got me snapping my fingers.I thought to myself, what a perfect song for a movie. Then, you explained about the song and I was right. That's fantastic. Congratulations !!!

Hey Andrew, I never actually officially released the track. I’ve been meaning to, but haven’t. “At the Sinatra Club” has some fun memories for me. Wish things had worked out better.

Nice performance, well done. I’d like to ask your thoughts on the cm48t , I’ve seen your previous mic shootout. Very informative but thought to ask you straight, thank you in advance for all the videos

Hey Boris! The CM48T really has it's own sound. In this price range ($600), if you are looking for a vintage sounding tube microphone I don't think there is anything that can beat it. Other mics in this price range lean toward the brighter, modern category; R0DE, Avantone, etc. I had really wanted to record trumpet with the CM48T, because I thought it would have sounded great. I just didn't get a chance. If you're looking for something really U47/U48ish I'd spend a little more and look at a Peluso 2247SE ($1500). I owned one for a few years and really enjoyed it. It's brighter than the U47 and the CM48T, but it has that bigger than life sound you expect from a 47 style microphone. There are other options for a little more too. There is the new Warm Audio WA47 ($1000), but I haven't tried it. I also have not tried Advanced Audio's CM47VE ($1000), which may be a little closer to a real U47 sound. Of course if you have a budget I'd say to go for a FleA 47. That mic is incredible. I was able to play with one a few months back and it just sounds like a record, but it's $4,000. I hope that helps. Thanks for subscribing.

Elegant & Vintage Entertainment thank you for your detailed explanation. I’m at the 1000$ budget point. So my options today ers the cm48t for the price looks like a great deal even if it’s not exactly a U47, the warm audio wa47 but I haven’t heard any unbiased shoot out yet and the one I am aiming is the AA CM47. Your videos have helped el to gain also son perspective so thanks for that.

Hi!nice performance! How do you compare cm48t with cm47?which handles better sibilance?does cm48t overload easily?
@EandVEntertainment
@EandVEntertainment 5 лет назад
Stergios T, thanks. I haven’t used the CM47. The standard CM47 has a k67 capsule, so you’d really want to look at the CM47VE if you’re looking at something 47ish. I really never had issues overloading any of the Advanced Audio mics, and trust me when I say I can sing louder than most singers. They are really well made. They are a bit more open and modern than their vintage namesakes, but nice solid mics in this price point. The CM48T is nice, because it has the 3 main patterns, but also a pad and rolloff switch. Not a bad deal.

@@EandVEntertainment thanks for your answer!do you find that cm48t can handke sibilance well?how does it take eq?i already have some nice mics(milab vip 50,vintage u47fet,warm251(i really like it on vocals),shure ksm 32..iam looking for a smooth mic without resonances in the highs-high mids and without bad transients-sibilance problems!
@EandVEntertainment
@EandVEntertainment 5 лет назад
Stergios T. I didn’t find it particularly sibilant. Then again I’m not a very sibilant singer. You have the Warm 251, have you considered their 47. I’ve heard some nice recordings made with them. You can hear the CM48T next to a bunch of mics on one of my shoot outs, maybe that will help. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-igjyDwCFvts.html

@@EandVEntertainment i ve already watched your video :) In this video i really liked flea..cm48t is a bit duller and not as open sounding but i can really use a good eq for the highs(try acustica audio plugins.simply the best!) I tested warm 47 but i didn't find it better or much different than my other mics.warm 47 also tends to overload easily...the warm 251 on the other hand is really a nice mic for someone looking this kind of sound.
@EandVEntertainment

Stergios T. Yeah, the FleA is a different level of mic. If you have the Neumann FET47 I doubt the CM48T will bring much new to the table. A microphone I found really useful for sibilant signals, although in a different price point, is the MK67 kit. It installs inside a U87ai or TLM67 making them into a very rich sounding U67ish microphone. That might be something to consider. You can hear it in my shootout video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-visof0j_oiE.html Live video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N9vChKmt6d0.html More info: www.gearslutz.com/board/product-alerts-older-than-2-months/971786-introducing-fabolous-tlm67-u87-u67-mod.html
