Live Japanese Calligraphy by Miyu Tamamura 

This isn't about art people, this is an ancient writing culture in Japan. Thousands of years old.

Art is self expression, therefore we all are capable to become artist and create art. Our ignorant, arrogant and mindless assumptions and beliefs keeps us from discovering and connecting with what others feel and perceive in their lives, for this we live pretty much alone all of our lives unable to truly connect with others but most importantly with our selves. It is sad to read so many comments that focus on all the wrong things but also rewarding to know there is people out there who can at least try to open their minds to something different to something deeper.

I, as a calligrapher, am grateful to have found this rabbit hole, but appalled by most of the ignorant comments. Perhaps a yin/yang balance?

it's actually just a style of cursive calligraphy of japanese kanji (pictographs derived from ancient chinese) - this looks like sousho (the "messiest" kind of cursive) to me. to someone who doesn't use/understand the english alphabet, cursive calligraphy of english words probably just looks like swirls as well.

i respect her as an artist but i dont see how this was calligraphy. I see an artwork, a composition but not calligraphy unless she was talking about the writing she did on the side. Im confused.
