Ilan Pappe is truly working his purpose in this life - as he gifts to us all the Truth, when there is such a heinous crime happening in Palestine. He covers Everything that speaks to human behaviour and psychology. Thank God for these eminent people who speak to these dire matters. They put the so-called complex pieces of a man-made jigsaw puzzle of information back in it's true place. It is true what they say about the colonialists, for those who became oppressed, yet it is a deep subject. Not all those in the past, from England, were entrenched in taking over other nations. I think we need to look at history as it relates to the USA. Britain was never in the pockets of the US for many, many generations and we English knew that they chose this based on history, especially after their late incoming to the WWII conflict. The Americans, until recently, felt they needed nothing from the "old country." They learned little from their own ancestry from Britain or elsewhere, likely. They, in fact, mainly wanted to identify with being "Irish." And, so it goes. (This could be a part of history of an English or American historian to discuss and elaborate). As for my generation, post-war Britain. It is unique, as was the generation before. As Britain build itself back up it took further generations to take their generations for granted. As they became "Americanized" this is when they began emulating a country that was all bluster, all about success and money. Sad indeed.

This is (like the words of illan peppe)- false. In my eyes i look at the information that is available and especially in this circumstance, i am critical. The overwhelming criticism about his work cost him his position, and the criticism is available by most historians who deal with the conflict. But if you just want to fill your hate with content, its good enough. In this context, let me recommend the protocols of the old ppl of zion. Itll fit your taste.

And to do this while feeling justified, self righteous, and heroic pride is such a mass narcissistic population wide result of Zionist white supremistindoctrination. 🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 00:00 🤝 Introduction to the event hosts and organizers The event is hosted by the Cordoba Foundation, Middle East Monitor, and One World. The speaker, Anes Altiti, introduces the event and the speakers. He observes a moment of silence for the victims of the recent conflict. 01:19 📚 Launching the new book by Professor Ilan Pappé Anes Altiti introduces Professor Ilan Pappé and his new book "Lobbying for Zionism". He commends the book and the work of the publishers, One World Publications. He outlines the format of the event, including the presentations and Q&A session. 06:47 🗣 Welcome remarks by Dr. D. Abdullah Dr. D. Abdullah, representing Middle East Monitor, welcomes the audience and introduces the book and the panelists. He highlights the significance of the book in examining the Zionist lobby's influence on both sides of the Atlantic. He expresses gratitude for the participation of the distinguished speakers, Dr. R and Professor N. Masalha. 10:08 🧑‍🏫 Introduction of Professor Ilan Pappé Anes Altiti introduces Professor Ilan Pappé, highlighting his background, publications, and expertise on the Israel-Palestine conflict. He contextualizes the current situation and the relevance of Professor Pappé's work in understanding the roots of the crisis. 13:03 🗣 Professor Ilan Pappé's presentation Professor Pappé expresses his gratitude to the organizers and the panelists. He discusses the conundrum that motivated him to write the book, namely the lack of legitimacy of the Israeli state and the persistent struggle of the Palestinian cause. He explains the reasons for the length of the book, including the need to provide historical context and extensive citations from politicians and thinkers. Here are the key sections of the transcript with timestamps, emojis, and main takeaways: 28:43 🌍 Origins of the pro-Zionist lobby in the United States The pro-Zionist lobby in the US has a long history that is still relevant today. This lobby has managed to influence British and American politics while also supporting Israel's crimes against Palestinians. Challenging this lobby is often met with accusations of anti-Semitism, but it is important to examine the evidence and history objectively. 32:06 🚦 The relationship between socialism/social democracy and support for Zionism There is a troubling history of socialist and social democratic parties in Europe providing unwavering support for Israel, even when it goes against principles of human rights and justice. This "social democratic gaslighting" has made it difficult to challenge Zionist influences within these political movements. The right-wing support for Israel is easier to confront, but the left-wing support has been more complex and entrenched. 36:46 🔥 The resilience and resistance of the Palestinian people The Palestinians have faced a powerful alliance of Britain, the US, and multinational corporations all focused on displacing and replacing them. Yet, the fact that the Palestinians are still fighting and resisting is a testament to their incredible resilience. This resilience and the inability of the powerful lobby to deal with grassroots civil society efforts provide hope for the future. 41:46 📢 The challenge for international tribunals and the need for a different kind of politics International tribunlike the ICC are starting to listen to the people, not just the powerful, when it comes to the issue of Palestine. This is an important step, but it also highlights the need for a different kind of politics that prioritizes universal justice over narrow interests. The struggle for Palestine is a symbol of the broader struggle against injustices worldwide and the demand for a new generation of politicians. 58:03 🤖 The historical roots of the Zionist lobby in Britain The Zionist lobby in Britain emerged in the 1840s, led by a Protestant, millennialist Christian movement that aimed to expedite the coming of the Messiah by advocating for the restoration of Jews to Palestine. [The Zionist lobby was not about Christianity per se, as there were Palestinian Christians, but rather a particular form of Evangelical, end-of-times Christianity.] 58:30 🧠 The Zionist lobby's racial framing of Jews The Zionist lobby in the 1840s began to racialize Jews, portraying them as a race rather than just a faith, which made it harder to integrate them into British society. [This racial framing of Jews later had horrific consequences during the Holocaust, and post-WWII the Zionists started emphasizing Jewish ethnicity over faith.] 59:22 🕰 The Zionist lobby's influence within the British government In the 1940s, the Zionist lobby in London was led by Lord Shaftesbury and Anthony Ashley Cooper, who had close ties to the British Foreign Secretary, Lord Palmerston. [The Zionist lobby was able to operate from within the British cabinet, with figures like Mark Sykes drafting the Balfour Declaration, and Lloyd George, the British Prime Minister, supporting the Zionist cause.] Made with HARPA AI

01:00:32 🏛 The contemporary Zionist lobby in Britain Today, the Zionist lobby in Britain continues to be powerful, with over 200 MPs receiving funding from pro-Israel groups, across both the Labour and Conservative parties. [However, there are also signs that the Zionist lobby's influence is waning, with growing public discourse, demonstrations, and civil society movements challenging the narrative and policies supported by the lobby.] 01:07:18 🌍 The changing landscape of the Zionist discourse While the Zionist lobby remains powerful, it is no longer entirely in control of the public discourse on Palestine, with growing challenges from below, including large demonstrations, trade unions, and legal professionals. [The speaker expresses hope that the current generation of students and young leaders will be equipped with the right questions and answers to further undermine the Zionist narrative and influence.] Here is the division of the transcript into sections with common themes, the beginning timestamp of each section, and key takeaways: 01:22:46 🤔 Absence of effective Palestinian leadership Lack of leadership is paralyzing the excellent ideas and newly energized efforts of the Palestinian people. The current octogenarian leadership in Palestine is not working, and new qualitative leadership needs to emerge from within. 01:23:43 🛡 Threats and dangers facing Palestinians The isolated and "boycotted" Israeli society is more likely to continue its crimes, genocide, and attempts to ethnically cleanse Palestinians. There are existential threats and dangers for Palestinians, but they remain resilient and persistent in their resistance. 01:26:31 💪 The need for long-term Palestinian solutions Palestinians need to build up their own leadership and think about medium-term and long-term solutions, rather than expecting quick or magical solutions. The Palestinian resistance in Gaza has been impressive and will allow the international movement to grow and gain more support. 01:29:25 🌍 Differences in lobbying and support for Israel between the US and Europe There are tactical differences in how the Zionist lobby operates in the US versus the UK, but the overall Anglo-Saxon world is aligned in supporting Israel. The Republican party in the US has become more reliant on the Zionist lobby, while there are some isolationist elements within the party that may not fully support Israel. 01:32:10 🌐 The importance of isolating Israel globally The global South, including countries like Colombia, is beginning to take action to isolate Israel through measures like breaking diplomatic relations. Isolating and sanctioning Israel is crucial for building a better world, and this global effort needs to expand to the global North as well. 01:48:00 📚 Concerns about Lobbying and the Political Agenda The speaker is worried about the new lobbying efforts to establish a Palestinian state, which they believe is part of a plot to save the colonial settler state of Israel. The speaker emphasizes the need to be prepared for this new lobbying, as it may come from Arab leaders and Palestinians themselves, in addition to Western politicians. The speaker underscores the importance of not losing the strong resistance and resilience demonstrated by the Palestinian people for the past 76 years, and the need to stand up against this new lobbying effort. 01:49:53 🗣 Clarification on Past Positions and Quotes The speaker shares information about Michael Gove's past pro-Palestinian stance when he was at university, and a quote attributed to Edward Said about the destruction of Israeli settlements. The speaker highlights the importance of understanding the historical context and evolution of positions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. 01:50:37 📚 Concerns about Academic Lobbying and Christian Zionism The speaker raises questions about the ability of the speaker's book to be sold in the US, the impact of academic lobbying on university-Israel linkages, and the changing Christian attitudes towards supporting Israel. The speaker acknowledges the need to address academic lobbying in the book and discusses the different roles of university management and the scholarly community in this context. The speaker also comments on the potential for a new anti-apartheid movement to address the situation in Israel/Palestine, similar to the one against apartheid in South Africa. 01:52:25 🌍 The Role of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Iran The speaker questions why Egypt and Saudi Arabia are not part of the global South and are not supporting the Palestinian cause, wondering what has caused them to turn against it. The speaker also highlights the need to discuss Iran's role in supporting the resistance in the region, and the importance of Iran's own reforms in order to be a powerful influencer in the region. 01:53:29 🎓 The Shallowness of Political Leaders and the Role of Elite Institutions The speaker questions whether there is something wrong with the elite institutions, such as universities, that has contributed to the shallowness and lack of enlightenment among today's political leaders. The speaker notes the shift from universities like LSE being hotbeds of revolution to now being more right-wing, and wonders what has led to this change. 02:00:03 🌍 Reflections on the Panel Discussion The speaker provides a summary of the key points raised during the panel discussion, addressing concerns about the two-state solution, the role of academic lobbying, the dynamics of Arab states, and the use of Islamophobia by the Zionist lobby. The speaker expresses optimism about the potential for change, both from below through student movements and activism, as well as from above through the symbolic recognition of Palestinian statehood by some countries. The speaker emphasizes the importance of supporting the Palestinian right to resist, self-determination, and the ongoing demonstrations and boycott efforts against Israel. 02:06:33 🔍 Deconstructing the Myth of Zionism and Judaism The speaker highlights one of the key insights from the book, which is the deconstruction of the myth that being a good Jew requires being a Zionist and supporting Israel. The speaker notes that the book has successfully disconnected the link between Zionism, anti-Zionism, and anti-Semitism, which has been a prevalent narrative in the US for decades.

The reason we don't see Palestinian leadership is because we don't talk to them, we don't hear them out. How many Palestinian leaders/scholars (not the Western breed) do we know? Palestinian people showed that they are far superior, as human beings, to the rest of us. Why don't we trust the soul of their souls? Who else could chart a better path for humanity than the pious Palestinians who endured so much pain and suffering and remained steadfast?

“They [think to] deceive Allah and those believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not. - In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. - And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers." - Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not. - And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have believed?" Unquestionably, it is they who are the foolish, but they know [it] not. - And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We believe"; but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say, "Indeed, we are with you; we were only mockers." - [But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly. - Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. - Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see. - Deaf, dumb and blind - so they will not return [to the right path].” (Quran 2:9-18) “They will not fight you all except within fortified cities or from behind walls. Their violence among themselves is severe. You think they are together, but their hearts are diverse. That is because they are a people who do not reason.”(Quran 59:14) “And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].”(Quran 14:42) “Let them, then, laugh little, and weep much at the contemplation of the punishment for the evil they have committed.” (Quran 9:82) “But they plan, and Allah plans. And Allah is the best of planners.”(Quran 8:30) Allah's plans always prevail in perfect timings and quantity over the man's planning. One should realize that there won't be any storm that Allah won't carry His man through. I'm not as sanguine about the weakness of the revival of the two-state solution as Ilan, Ghada and Nur. I think the danger is real that the two-state solution as the default position will continue. If this recognition of the state of Palestine is merely symbolic - a recognition only of the PRINCIPLE of a Palestinian state - why did Ireland, Spain, Norway and the rest IMMEDIATELY mention that the Palestine they were supporting was indeed 'on the 67 borders' and within the framework of the two-state solution and that Israel is recognised and has the right to 'exist in security' alongside Palestine?

G-d gave a portion of the Holy Land to the children of Ishmael. Based on Zohar Shemot 32A ------ [R. Hiyya then says] Woe is to the time that Ishmael was born into the world and was circumcised. What did G‑d do [to appease Ishmael]? He distanced the children of Ishmael from supernal cleaving and gave them [only] a portion below in the Holy Land on account of their circumcision. And in the future, the children of Ishmael are destined to rule over the Holy Land for a long time when it is empty from anything, like their circumcision which is empty and imperfect. And they will prevent the children of Israel from returning to their place until the reward for the merit of the children of Ishmael reaches completion. The children of Ishmael [i.e. the Arab nations] will cause great wars in the world and the children of Edom will gather against them and wage war against them, one on the sea, one on the dry land, and one near Jerusalem. And they [the children of Edom] will rule over them [the children of Ishmael], but the Holy Land will not be given over to the children of Edom. [The children of Edom is the Christian West, for Edom is Rome (see Num. 24:19, Rashi) and Rome signifies Greece-Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, the foundations of Western Civilization] -------------- It had already been prophesied in the Bible that the descendants of Ishmael/Arabs shall administer the Temple Mount/Jerusalem. Isaiah 60:7 "All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory." Kedar is the second son of Ishmael, and founder of the tribe that bore his name (Genesis 25:13). Many Arabs trace their lineage back through Ishmael to Abraham. All the flocks of Kedar - On the word 'Kedar,' see the notes at Isaiah 21:16. The Kedarenians were a wandering tribe that frequently changed their residence, though it is probable they usually dwelt in the south part of Arabia Desert, or the north of Arabia Petraea. They are mentioned as dwelling in beautiful tents Sol 1:5 : 'I am black, but comely as the tents of Kedar,' see Psalm 120:5; compare Isaiah 21:16-17; Isaiah 42:11. The language here also means that that which constituted their principal wealth would come and enrich Jerusalem. The rams of Nebaioth - Nebaioth was also a son of Ishmael Genesis 25:13; 1 Chronicles 1:29, and was the father of the Nabatheans. They were a people of Arabia Petraea, and lived principally by plunder, trade, and the keeping of flocks. The country of Nabathea extended, it is supposed, from the Euphrates to the Red Sea, and embraced Petra, the capital of Arabia Deserts, and also Medaba. It is not possible, however, to fix the exact boundaries of the various tribes of Arabians. The general idea is, that their most valuable possessions would be devoted to God. Dome of the Rock is the Third Temple. There are some interpretations of the Bible that suggest that the construction of the Dome of the Rock is prophesied in the Book of Daniel. Specifically, some people believe that Daniel 12:11 is a prophecy about the building of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days." [Daniel 12:11] It is a heresy/unholy to think that Jews shall administer Temple Mount/Jerusalem as it had been clear in the Holy scripture that descendants of Ishmael/Arabs had been ordained by G-d to administer Jerusalem/Temple Mount.

Religious Zionism is a form of idolatry. In Hebrew Bible, Devarim 32:17 reads as follows: "They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known, new gods that had come recently, whom your ancestors had not feared". The medieval commentator Ibn Ezra suggested that the “new gods” mentioned in this verse were actually the gods of foreign nations that the Israelites had come into contact with. "new gods" is today's Zionism. Zionism is a nationalist movement that emerged in the 19th century to enable the establishment of a homeland for the Jewish people in Palestine. The movement initially emerged in Central and Eastern Europe as a national revival movement in the late 19th century, both in reaction to newer waves of antisemitism and as a consequence of Haskalah, or Jewish Enlightenment. Since the establishment of Israel, Zionism became an ideology that supports “the development and protection of the State of Israel”. One cannot deny that the conflicts in the middle-east is caused by the Zionist movement and the violations of the 3 Oaths made by the Jews found in the Talmud (Song of Songs 2:7, 3:5, 8:4): The Oaths: First Oath: Israel should not ascend to the land in a wall (i.e., en masse or forcefully). Second Oath: The Holy One adjured Israel not to rebel against the nations of the world. Third Oath: The Holy One adjured the nations not to oppress Israel excessively. Jews worldwide are now paying the price for the violations of the 3 Oaths Zionism ("new gods") is only around 100 years old. It is the transformation from religion to nationalism, to materialism created by non-religious Jews who hated their religion. The reason why they use the name Israel, the Star of David, hijacking, stealing the identity of Judaism and the Jewish people is in order to gain a legitimacy for their existence that should lead people to say, 'oh, it is God given to them' and that they should use fear and intimidate people from speaking out against their actions because they will call those that do anti Semitic; it couldn't be anything further from the Truth.

First of all, Zionism was lobbied in the 1860's. Not at the turn of the century. Look up Nathan Friedland.

Jews cannot claim the land of Palestine as their homeland. According to the Orthodox Rabbinout in Israel, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons were not Jewish. Moses is not aware of modern traditions, Moses did not study even a little bit of the Talmud, Moses did not acknowledge or accept rabbinical authority. All that together with his two gentile wives..... The state of Israel was created by atheists and not by G-d. Israel is the name given to Jacob. It does not refer to land. G-d gave Torah to the Jews.. Being a Jew is a profession. There is no such thing as non-religious Jews. "And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.” Exodus 19:6 Had Israelis been listening or reasoning with the Torah, then Israelis would realised that they are now living in sins like the times of northern and southern kingdoms. Micah lists specific sins of both the northern and southern kingdoms. These sins include idolatry (1:7; 5:12-14); the seizure of property (2:2, 9); the failure of civil leadership (3:1-3, 9-10; 7:3), religious leadership (3:11), and prophetic leadership (3:5-7, 11); offering sacrifice without truly repenting (6:6-7); and corrupt business practices and violence (6:10-12).

It's a new world full of informed and caring young people who believe in freedom and equality. An organization like AIPAC and the world powers will have to adapt to this new world or vanish into oblivion. All it means really is being generous to all.
