LIVE: Louisville police to provide update on Scottie Scheffler arrest investigation 

No questions allowed.. No release of further evidence (beyond 2 useless videos), no mention of known media eye witnesses, no explanation of why a crash private investigator is allowed to moonlight as a police detective, no mention why a police detective is directing traffic at 6:15 AM. No explanation of if or why or how the officer decided to attach himself to a vehicle (doesn’t pass the smell test). Disappointed in the total lack of honesty.

The most "USELESS" self serving press conference I have ever seen, what a joke!

Wow the officer got a note in his file about a blatant material lapse in judgment. Wouldn’t want him to suffer anymore than he already did with his $80 pants being ripped. 😢

Maybe the mayor thinks this is acting transparently but it falls far short of what is needed. Since he first discussed the tragic accident that occurred earlier that morning, he should have explained how pedestrians were instructed to safely cross the road. I have read patrons' reports describing how poorly the walkways for pedestrians were designed and marked. Could it be that the LMPD failed to maintain a safe cross way for pedestrians? I think that is a reasonable conclusion but the mayor failed to address that issue. Second, what is the purpose of having every patrol car running its flashing red and blue (strobe-like) lights? Do police officers realize that only magnifies the confusion for regular drivers? I could understand setting up a flood light above the entrance to better illuminate the path for drivers but that was not done. How does it facilitate the flow of traffic when patrol cars are lazily parked in the intersection? Were they primarily interested in facilitating or impeding the flow of traffic? It would appear to me it was the latter, just adding to the confusion. It saddens me to say this, but all indications are that the LMPD intends to play hardball with this case. Unfortunately, that is not surprising given their actions to date. They've demonstrated poor judgment throughout, hopefully someone will be able to talk some sense into the DA before they proceed to trial.

Everyone can see in the video the “ kangaroo cop” stick his arm in Scottie’s vehicle. He ridiculous and waste of tax payer dollars!!!

America faces these things daily. Common since Answers. After a louisville police department has 7 fbi investigations for corruption. One remedy. Force body cams. Why would a lawful officer resist transparency? Why are citizens having to buy their own cams while enjoying libetty/travel? Why do law officers get mad when you record your traveling? Why do law officers get upset when you record any interaction with the police? Why are officers admittedly trained to Lie? Why do law officers who swear an oath to the constitution. Try to find a way to violate search and seizures 4th amendment protections? Why is it acceptable for law officers to lose their tempers. Berate. Get physical. That if any citizen acted in such way would face serious crimes? And these so called moral authorities wouldn't blink an eye destroying your life. Side note moral authorities aren't adulters, pedaphiles, liars, thieves. Also aren't a moral authority when real crimes happen. They don't have time for it. To busy being highway robbers on the side of the road. Will steal your paycheck boy. Don't make them mad. Bow down and lick their boot. I love real law. Real moral authorities. But when the state becomes the biggest criminal. And a police state. Papers please Germany. 4th amendment. Conditioning a citizenry. Good luck in the next war with a nation of sheep. And you beg for my sons to die for you. A simpler solution. If this evil is what you want. China, cuba, north korea, vietnam, Venezuela is your utopia. Go get it.

When you watch the video, the officer hit Scotty Sheffers’s car with either something in his hand and his arm hit the car itself so the offer is the one that caused his own injuries

CHIEF and DA , you should have changed the charges after seeing the video to a traffic infraction. All was initiated by the detective who wasn't knocked down by the way, the driver who was traveling maybe 5 mph for 15 feet. Reacted to direction.
