Awesome stuff again Jamie. Sometimes when I fish over soft bottom I pull the feeder link through a soluble pva nugget. Doesn't affect the cast much and it will slow the descent rate in the water. After testing several brands I discovered that the ones from cc moore dissolve the fastest and without leaving any residue even in cold water. I know it's kind of a ghetto approach, but hey...anything for a bite 😁

I gotta admit, you looked relieved when that match was over. I saw Rob Hughes with Polly recently filming under water. What really surprised me was the leader, whether 50 or 15 cm long landed quite close to the feeder. Withing a few inches. They varied the baits from single maggot, to a whole dendro to see if the weight would make any difference. But it didn't. On one cast the worm actually landed inside the cage feeder. and other startling revelations included a groundbait shot off a method feeder as soon as it hit the water, but it remained in place on a model had larger gripping structures to hold the bait for the duration. All interesting stuff and available on you tube on Matrix channel. Worth a look. Sorry you had a bad day, but you know well enough that that happens. Keep posting your days on the bank, we really enjoy them. Thanx Jamie.

Yeah...the "Underwater" series, Jamie was in it too and he hooked Rob in the finger. To this day Rob is Jamie's PB 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Jamie well that was a difficult match! I know you didn’t make the frame which was obviously disappointing but if the draw bag isn’t kind to you what can you do? I find this kind of fishing much more interesting as you have to think about what you do, not just chuck a method or hybrid out hauling carp out! You need to give your drawing arm a good talking too but other than that I’m not sure what else you could have done. Roll on the next series and hope for some luck at the draw. Kindest regards Bill
