This may be one of those rare opportunities for Malaysia to speed track its best minds to match or excel vs the best in Singapore, China, India and yes, also USA and Europe.
@@Liboch I see a few distinct advantages for Malaysia vs almost any country in SE and South Asia, as a) it has lots of energy to power these energy hungry 'machines', and yes, in this regard, India is going to need a lot more than Investment, and additionally, even if I don't know for sure, b) Malay language is already romanised, so between it and English, Malaysia can focus on producing great programmers, IT engineers, AI 'designers' better than India, as their many languages constantly (and of late, huge regrets about its British heritage) get in the way of being paranoichally focused on beating everyone to the finish line. Malaysia, afaik, has a healthy disposition to its British heritage, and I think it can use this advantage in a very positive way without being all 'confused' about it.
Interesting but we ask Microsoft to shift their focus into Malaysia as we are the leader in this region and we dictate our own decisions and no one can stop us even from the very best of friends and allies
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - April 19 2021 - Microsoft Corp. today announced its “Bersama Malaysia” (Together with Malaysia) initiative, which marks a significant commitment to empowering Malaysia’s inclusive digital economy and advancing the nation’s digital transformation across the private and public sectors. As part of the plan, Microsoft will establish its first datacenter region in the country to deliver trusted cloud services locally, with world-class data security, privacy, and the ability to store data in-country.
@@keangwooichoo6138 Microsoft is smart, they invest in Malaysia they get the market. Malaysia must make sure data don't get out from Malaysian soil, so SG is no as they're foreign country.
