The Stonehenge part in Spinal Tap is actually based on a stageprop Black Sabbath had in the early '80 where Geezer Butler had designed a Stonehenge prop and wrote the dimensions in cm but the guy that had to built it thought it was in inches, so the entire thing ended up ridiculously big

@@fuzzyhair321 General American? I would like to strongly disagree. To me, he sounds obviously like a scandanavian. Ive had the pleasure to hear Swedish and Finnish. Pay attention, to the flow in which he speaks which i could tell he was North European. Listen to how he pronounces his "r" and "t" and "s". Watch a few Swedish speaking clips and you will realize that his flow in English is the same

It's really pleasantly surprising to hear him say that lip syncing is actually not common and is actually pretty rare now a days. In general with today's music, even the big pop stars, they generally always get people who at least can sing live decently well enough. Or if they do sound bad, they just let them sound bad because that persons fans are there for the overall performance/hype/dancing/pyro/etc more so than great vocals, everyone kinda knows the deal. So i appreciate that lip syncing is kinda not really a thing people do anymore.
@EthanRom
@EthanRom 2 года назад
I think live they wouldn't, but the problem is if you didn't go to the real live event and all your basing it on is on youtube. All the videos on youtube of the show have been edited or patched up which gives the impression that lip syncing is still prevalent.
@VMYeahVN
@VMYeahVN 2 года назад
@@EthanRom The ones who do that you can usually tell pretty easily though because it sounds too perfect.
@EthanRom
@EthanRom 2 года назад
@@VMYeahVN Prolly a horrible example, but usually American Idol it's all live, but after taping it they would autotune all of it for the TV or RU-vid release. So if you attended the live taping it would be a completely different experience to what's online

@mehere8038
@mehere8038 2 года назад
lol tbh, I've snuck into after parties I had no authority to be at (with major global stars present) & I've also snuck into places without any vaccine ID on me. If you can do one, you can do the other pretty easily in exactly the same way, you just look like you're supposed to be there & no-one questions you. At one party I snuck into, security were literally throwing people to the ground if they went near the entry gate, so I just jumped the fence at the other end of the red carpet & walked the entire red carpet to enter & just gave them a little bit of eye contact, but not too much, as I walked past them, just gave the impression that obviously they knew who I was & it was nice of me to acknowledge them & they didn't even think to question it. Vaccine I wasn't able to get at the time for medical reasons, had to wait until a heart palpitation issue was resolved, but since Rona won't read medical exemptions, I have a moral objection to applying for one, I don't believe it's appropriate they exist. Anyway, where I live many stores were only open to vaccinated for a period of time, unvaccinated to get access a few weeks later, but I decided I wanted to enter one & didn't want to wait, cause I felt it was safer to enter while only vaccinated were allowed & I was minimising visits to shops as much as possible, only going once, so figured I'd go then. Store I wanted to enter was really strict on it, checking vaccine certification really well, I just said I didn't have a mobile phone & gave them a QR sign in code card I had (that very few stores are set up to read) & told them I wanted to check if my vaccine status had been updated on that yet, my paper vaccine ID was somewhere in the bottom of my bag, but since it was raining & everything was wet, if I had to get that out, I wouldn't bother going in & hoped I could get in with the card, if not, that's fine, they're doing their job, I understand & support them doing so. The 2 of them discussed it & then just did a manual sign in & let me in with no vaccine ID. Same skill set needed for both :) & btw in both cases it really wasn't a problem, the vaccine I could have got the temp medical exemption if I wanted to & I was being really careful, so there was really no risk I had covid & celeb one I spoke of there, a celeb friend had actually dared me to do it, explaining she was no longer able to sneak in to parties, cause people just let her in nowadays cause of her fame, so she wanted me to do it so she could re-live her sneak in days though me lol & I knew half the celebs at the party personally anyway & only hung out with them, I didn't make a nuisance of myself with the ones I didn't know, so no-one cared I was there without technically being allowed, in fact at that particular event, I fitted in better than many of the people who had been officially invited (even if it was unplanned & the clothes I was wearing weren't even close to passing the regular dress code to enter the venue, celeb party or not lol. Only time I've ever worn sneakers & jeans to a tux/formal party lol)

I used to build stages.. I never wore a high vis vest or a hard hat. I don't know if the regulations have changed that much in the last decade but... that is not common thing in my knowledge at the level they are in that hangar and the kind of production it is. At least the way we build them, there was no one above us working, in those rare cases the stage was emptied. Everything was done on the ground and lifted up. The conditions were basically as safe as it was for the performers and the don't wear high vis vests or hard hats.. I know that in very large, stadium tours it is more common, as there are hundreds of people working at the same time, in multiple levels. But for something that looks like at max 12 people job.. you plan it differently.... just the requirements of wearing a harness at anything above 3m makes it pretty much a must that you build everything at ground level.
