Joe Debrah if you are reading this comment I just want to say thank you for bringing joy to us in the early 1990's/80s late. You and Shamo leather (RIP). The nation says thank you and for all the disappointment the leaders in the GFA has caused you, we Ghanaians are sorry for that but know that you are loved and have done your job for mother Ghana. Shamo, J Debrah, Armah Senegal, Sarfo Gyamfi etc. my God that was real football. Midweek or Sunday we were glued to our radios. Good old days!!
When I was growing up, when you’re playing football there are three players everyone wants to play like, Abedi, Shamo Quaye and Joe Debrah. In the Gh league it was Joe Debrah vs Shamo Quaye. These two were unstoppable. Joe Debrah was a good goal scorer/poacher and the late Shamo was a play maker and a goal scorer as well.
where did you get the playing style of Joe Debra and the late Shamo Quaye from? you got it mix up. Joe Debra was the play maker and Shamo a goal poacher
Kwaku, thanks for interviewing Joe Debrah. I left Ghana in 1987 so it's good to hear about what happened after that time. I also played for King Faisal babies with Kojo Somaila etc, and tried out with Kotoko U-20 before I left Ghana. So Joe is my local boyhood friend. Maybe 1 generation before us. Akwatia Line, Asawase, Zongo boys. DeGaulle
lovely family keep it up,, To the one reading this message,, dont and ever give up on your dreams. Continue pushing and keeping praying one day your breakthrough will come..
IN THE 4-2 FA CUP FINAL MATCH KOTOKO LINE UP WAS 1.ANTHONY MENSAH 2. JOHN KUTRI BENSON 3. KWESI APPIAH 4. BABA MUSAH 5. FRIMOONG MANSO 6. STANLEY ABORAHV 7. THOMAS BOAKYE 8. MICHAEL OSEI 9. JOE REBRAH 10. ISAAC KWAKYEI 11. ROBERT ESHUN. SARFO GYAMFI REPLACED ISAAC KWAKYE
Wow, wow, wow, wow! Dan, interviewing legendary Joe Debrah means u do alllllll! I hate Asante kotoko with every fibre in me as a phobian🙈🙈🤪🤪😂😄😄.However, without them (kotoko) there’s no Ghana football. Joe n shamo were simply the finest!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏👌👌
The one Baba Musah got injured was the last league match at the Kumasi Stadium in which Hearts won 2-1. Kotoko needed just a draw but Hearts needed a win. Hearts won 2-1 and subsequently won the league. Baba Musah never played football again after that encounter. 1989-1990 season.
Sorry for Baba Musah, I only head his name. Imagine a person dedicating all his life for a profession only to suffer one injury and that is it. Jerry Akaminko got injured before the 2014 world cup and that was his end. Our politicians have been squandering our money and we are okay. Sports journalists including Dan will make all the noise and incite people against the black stars because they are being paid appearance fee from monies from FIFA for world cup participation. Nobody thinks about the risk and we assume all the players are paid $100,000 a week.
The one Kotoko won 4-2 was an FA cup final. Hearts later protested that Kotoko had fielded an unqualified player in the person of Joe Debrah because he had attracted two yellow cards in a previous match with a certain team.
THE MATCH THAT SARFO GYAMFI REFUSED TO SHAKE RAWLINGS WAS A LEAGUE MATCH WHICH DOUBLED AS 31ST DECEMBER ANNIVESARY CUP. IT ENDED 2-2 AND KOTOKO WON ON PENALTY. THAT HAD ODOOM IN POST AND JOE ADDO MISSED HIS KICK. SHAMO SCORED HIS KICK BY WALKING TO THE BALL WITH HIS BACK AMIDST SCREAMS OF SHAMOOOOOO FROM THE POPULAR STAND
The match in which Sarfo Gyamfi decided not to greet the president ended 2-2. However, Kotoko won on penalties by 4-2. Kotoko won the Cup. It was 6th March ot so.
No sir , it was fa cup final , kotoko won 4-2 not on penalties . That was the match Nana Benyin could not do with area balls, he was accused of taking bribe. Hearts lodge a protest and won, check your facts
@@kwametwum8824 The F.A cup final also ended 4-2 but those goals were not penalties. Please, research deeply on this. I have followed football in Ghana for long. Even the match Baba Musah got injured happened at the Kumasi stadium in which Hearts won 2-1.
Kwame Twum check your fact before commenting. It was an FAcup final. Kotoko won 4-2 in regular time. The first half ended in 2-2 draw. After the recess Kotoko scored 2 more goals to end the match 4-2. Check the archives and don't falsify history.
@@johnnuamah6494 That match ended 2-2 in regular time and went for extra time. Kotoko scored 2 more goals in extra time. Hearts replaced Nanabanyin Crentsil with Abass Caeser.
Hi Kwaku, thank you so much for interviewing our past best players. Could you please give us Joe Debrah's phone number on this platform? We count on your cooperation, thanks.
