They have to. The dogs don’t know danger, drugs, suspects, etc. The know sounds and smells. They know that if they smell a certain smell (i.e. drugs, a suspect they’re searching for) they get rewarded with praise, a toy, or a treat. If they mark just for the reward, they don’t get any reward at all and the dogs learn that to get the reward, there actually has to be a smell.
CUlataKatie It doesn’t mean his low on iron 😑, dogs do this when they feel sick and it at times makes them throw up and in turn makes them feel better.
*Guy was just bit by a dog, admits to having a serious drug problem, is leaning over the hood of a cop car and facing jail time* Cop: How are you? Guy: I'm doing alright
@@dylanhicks8895 Well up to that point there was nothing really suspicious about him..he had this crazy half shocked half asleep look, but thats pretty common for people in stress I would say :D Even how he forgot about his ccw wasnt that bad, if it wasnt for the doggo and all that cash he would probably be on his way no problem xD
Respect to the old man with the gun and weed. He was honest the whole time. He knew he was caught. He did not resist and took it like a G. Hopefully he can turn his life around
I would be so down to see that, just make sure it doesn’t distract the dog or get in the way of them being able to do their jobs! That officer was so good with the cute doggo
Edmund Zendejas smoking a little (depending on your tolerance) helps you concentrate and makes you a better driver, but smoking a lot and getting smacked makes you a terrible driver. The thing is that for you, a fatty might only be a small amount for you because of your tolerance
Yes yes and yes! I've only owned German shepherds and they are the best. There's a general fear of them. Although my dog has yet to bite anyone she Def let's folks know when she's not a fan of them. She does not like being stared at but I try explaining to her it's because she's so gorgeous 🤣
As a Service Dog handler, I can confirm and completely agree. My SD, Ollie, has saved my life more times than I can count. He's better than any medication, treatment, medical equipment, or therapy. He senses things that medical professionals have missed. These working dogs are incredible and we don't deserve them. Edit: just so we’re clear- I’m only talking about me and my experience with my Service Dog.
@@bbltd.3154 The cop can't write the laws he has to enforce, he is just doing his job. Talk to your politicians and change the laws and then he won't arrest people for that offence. And I believe in legalization lol. But you simply can't traffic 34 pounds of weed across illegal states.
I love how the K9s get so hyped up when they see/hear the lights and sirens, like “oh yay I get to do my job today and be a good boy” very cute for how deadly they can be
I love how every time the dog is walked back after having just sniffed some drugs he looks up at his partner like a child does after having gotten an A on his math test.
@@joshmoorash5162 they are fantastic dogs, but they are very high energy and need a job. Not great for your first dog, but still can be amazing little buddies.
its for a reason. that high pitched vocal gets his attention when hes to excited to be doing his job. watch its the dog or me with Victoria and she does it pretty often with over excited dogs
I LOVE hearing these guys praising their dogs. It really warms my heart. I know it's part of the training but, you can hear it in their voices that it goes much deeper then that. Those dogs are so much more than just a tool for these officers.
@@camskayzz5169 a service dog is a dog trained for a specific disability (mental or physical) or medical condition. They’re different from police dogs, cadaver dogs, and search dogs. K9 are not service dogs although they can be trained to be one if a police or soldier ends disabled like losing a leg or being blind or something similar.
My dad was a cop and worked in the K-9 unit. He’s retired now and he still has the same K-9 that he trained for 6 years. They are like best friends and their bond is incredible
We had a German Shepherd when I was still a baby. She was given to my Mom by a Police Officer. I've heard many times how the Officer said the dog hadn't worked out for a K-9. Their loss was our blessing. Mom named her Lady Jane. She passed away when I was 15. And was absolutely the BEST DOG EVER!
The first cop was so nice with the guy. The way he said "I understand" just makes me love these guys. These are the encounters we unfortunately don't see too often on the news..only the bad encounters.
Can't help noticing the officers who work with dogs show the same kind of happy excitement from the chase- actual emotional transference from their bond. Fascinating.
yes cuz then they have probably cause to search once the dog alerts and then are allowed to go thru the car without a warrant .. not all states are like that tho
Dogs eating grass can be a sign of the dog wanting to improve their digestion, treating intestinal worms or fulfilling some unmet nutritional needs such as fiber poor baby
see the first one driving a rental home didn’t sound suspicious to me at all cuz my uncle does it al the time but now i’m starting to realize it’s my sketchy uncle that does it
He really said “Keep him away from the dog! Keep him away from the dog!” when the dog just sitting there eating grass not caring if the guy is close to him or not 😂
Sometimes it's because is on its predator mode and it's better for the suspect's safety. Also it might meddle with its training to 'dog' running suspects and leave suspects already in custody alone. So better to keep the two seperated
@@Khenny03 they are trained to release on command, but it’s hard to get them to follow it in a high energy environment since the dog thinks it’s a game and the dog can also sense the adrenaline running through the handler
The first officer was so insanely good i think has to be the best i saw! Guy didnt give him trouble he was calm, collected, let him smoke a cig. Amazing officer!
I was in the Army 82nd Airborne and a sister unit beside our barracks had scout dogs they actually strapped them to their chests and jumped with them many times. Those K9s are amazing. I was Combat engineers here, thanks for your service sir.
These K9s are amazing. It’s still funny seeing people arrested for something that’s legal to possess in my state. It’s like a dog showing interest in the pack of beer in my trunk lol.
The first guy was delivering Mary Jane and as we know, people who hang out with MJ are usually very chill. Most chill arrest I've ever seen. The guy got busted and just calmly did the right thing. Model criminal.
I appreciate the cop in the second clip who ran his plate before stopping him, to make sure he wasn't already stopped for the same thing. I don't know if all cops are required to do that, or if it is just a courtesy, but it's cool nonetheless. Also, in regard to a later clip, there's nothing dweebier than a dude fleeing on a cop while on a moped.
I love it how the dogs seem to be having an absolute blast, and whenever they find something or catch someone they just look up at the officers like an excited little kid would look at their parents when they just made a drawing they’re very proud of. It’s a dangerous job for sure but man, do they have fun doing it. Probably feels to them like they’re hunting with their humans 😊 And they kind of are. Hope they have fun for years and have a peaceful retirement eventually 😊
I love the officer and his k9 in the woods the way he talked to the dog after was so cute but I love how he told the other officer to move the suspect away from the dog so he didn’t get bit since he was compliant
That’s how it is pronounced in various parts of the English-speaking world. You need to get out more and consider how broadly spoken English is, and how many dialects and accents exist.
Well, I mean it is kinda rude to comment a flaw! So I believe most people just thought it but didn’t say it! Like most people would do they were I’m there rightful mind! God bless!
