Best case is seeing a freakin' 18 wheeler soon enough not to hit it. I feel for the guy - I've broken a leg badly on a bike. From a biker's perspective, no accident can be the other driver's fault.
@@willtoulan You can see it in the video the bike had a stop sign but like many of them he didn't pay attention to it. Bicycles are way worse for running stop signs tho.
When I was in school my bus driver always said not to stand in front of her bus because if we got hit by those wheels our own mama wouldn’t even be able to recognize us
Your in the middle of the desert with no legs no arms or water and a meteor the size of the sun heading straight for earth on top of that you just got a divorce, filed for bankruptcy, lost you job, and your family. Otherwise your completely right on this one
What caught my attention was that the cyclist was honest. He didn't excuse himself and didn't try to blame the trucker. He took responsibility. That is rare and to be commended. Makes the investigation a whole lot easier for the police. And I am confident that he does not need to be lectured or told not to do it again, or to be careful.
I've had friends that have lost limbs, and family that have been majorly injured due to riding bikes and people not seeing them. I'm glad that he's okay
Just wait for everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, to have a "My neighbor, cousin, friends son, etc." story. I always tell them Grandma slipped in the tub and died, so now I only shower.
I went to a safety course before I was going to get my motorcycle license...I lost patience with the clutch and stalled it too many times on the second day...didn't pass the course. It was probably better that I didn't.
It's encouraging to see how emergency personnel coordinate to ensure someone's life is saved, and at the same time, the law is applied fairly to all parties.
As someone that works in the freight business, we don't run tandom flat beds but our pups easily weigh 20,000-24,000 each plus the tractor. So I'm impressed for how quickly the guy seemed to stop and I'm glad to see the rider looks like he'll be ok with no lasting injuries. Not saying he did in this case but a warning to anyone on the road, you wouldn't play chicken with a train don't do it with a semi.
Those rescue people are very good and quick with the scissors. They want to check for injury without causing any extra. My husband's clothes were sent back to us in a garbage bag of pieces earlier this year. It's not fun when your bike meets an immovable object. I pray this man recovered as well as my husband.
ive seen liveleak videos where "Motorcycle vs tractor trailer" means "motorcyclist turning into a spray of bloody mist". Im *really* glad this dude came out solid.
@Gabe Kowalski you must be joking, that did like no damage to the truck and just because they don't show him doesn't mean he died. He probably didn't want to be on camera or was being questioned by the police somewhere else.
Completely agree. But, he ran a stop sign on the bike, in front of a big truck at that. Either way, he's in the wrong. I'm so very thankful that he didn't get hurt worse. I've seen a few motorcycle vs truck that have had my heartbreaking for All involved... I Pray that those who drive any vehicle, just pay a bit more attention (at the very least) when they're driving. This was a great outcome vs what coulda happened.
In this day and age it's nice to see people take responsibility for their actions. The guy on the bike knew he was at fault and made it clear the truck driver was not. Usually you hear the opposite, the person at fault wants to blame the innocent party. Guy on the bike made a mistake, he owned up to it and will recover to ride again. Truck driver was probably rattled but he will keep his job to haul cargo again.
Thanks to all the brave vets out there too. Y’all put your lives on the line to defend our country and there’s no way we can repay you for your sacrifices but we can remember and honor them. God bless the veterans🇺🇸
When you rush things. The only result is to hold you back even more from getting there. Take your time. Learn how to read speed limit signs. Do the correct stop procedures. Don’t gamble your life away.
Motorcycle 🏍 Vs 18 Wheeler 🚛 = No Contest! Use Common Sense ! The Bike Rider Should’ve Use Better Judgement! He’s Lucky To Be Alive It Could’ve Been Worse
Hope the truck driver sees this video and has it in case this goes to court. The biker just won the case for him. "I saw the truck and thought I could make it". Case closed.
Backyard barn build mostly, and with bad brakes. I can stop my motorcycle on a dime. Most of these self build bikes are way lighter then mine is, so why can't they do it ?
Did you have to point this out? This has been a part of youtube culture for years, anytime anyone is early they will see that it's just if they feel like they need to tell everyone they say a lot of early comments
