As someone who has one of these bikes she did the wrong thing just pull over they aren't going to arrest you over it, in my state as long as its a engine 50cc or smaller without a geared transmission you don't need lic. Or Registration and can drive in the bicycle lanes and paths as well as parks with limits up to 15 mph unless its a pro build its not going to be breaking any laws like go 25 stay on the edge of the road and if you cant then get on the sidewalk and dont exceed 15 its not hard to obey the laws or no your rights

50cc and under = no license no insurance no registration. Pretty universal across all states. Bear in mind that this law also normally stipulates as well that the 50cc or less motor not be capable of exceeding 20mph. So if you beef up a 50cc bicycle and are cruising around at 45 with no insurance or registration then you can bet you'll run into some issues with the law. This includes electric powered vehicles as well.
