Kenya is democratic country ( Africa can see president questioned in front off the public with out fear journalists asked what they want even evidence salute Mr president.
The GenZs of Kenya you have inspired youths across Africa. Right now all the youths of Africa are watching at you. Should you succeed; Africa succeeds. You're the only hope. The revolution you've started is the beginning of removal of the current systems Colonizers put in place crafted to serve them only. The elders have betrayed you for the longest time. They continue to rule Africa with a mindset Africa still belongs to the Europeans. It's time to take back what's rightfully belongs to you. The GenZs of Kenya you've the Pride of Africa ❤❤.
Kenya is very open and fair this will never happen in 99% of African countries hata hapo TZ it will never happen. Much respect to Kenya na muwe proud kws kweli. Hivyo vingine can be fixed with dialogues like these
Judiciary is super corrupt. There is no justice there. If there was, my dad would be in prison for MURDER but because of the so called judiciary system, there is NO JUSTICE. When the accused is rich, they just buy thrir way out, when the accused is poor, they have the book thrown at them whether they are guilty or not, whether they had appropriate representation or not. This guy came with talking points, not actually coming to engage with questions or concern.
Remember when he talked about the USA and said the dollar would not be accepted in Kenya. Well that did not go over well with the USA. They held a big dinner in his Honor at the White House recently. So what do you think happened? I think he was severely threatened, it appeared he was fighting to free Kenya but now he is under the Western Power. Wakeup and read between the lines.
I don't think this interview achieved the image the president wanted to portray. He dodged and/or diverted from very simple and direct questions. I wish he just had a candid conversation instead of trying to save face on issues like Police brutality, abductions and extra judicial killings. At least we know he spoke with the CS interior and the IG I'd assume. What those conversation held about the Githurai massacre would be interesting. But if they spoke, and these are his appointees, then is it safe to assume that he gave the command?
The issues and points of Ruto are valid debt issue, housing project and digital jobs for young people it's just his actions speak another thing how he is over travelling, the increase civil servant and they budgets are ridiculous hence Kenyans have lost trust. To regain the trust it may take awhile but time will tell.
In a State where every project has to have a kick-back attached to it and we DO NOT TRUST YOU because you've been long named the high priest of graft, wrong projects are given precedence. Today we need to see less recurrent expenditure even if there are no development expenditures! Seriously, we are capable of living happily in poverty without paying dearly for what we never get anyway! It is of NO SENSE to have a million graduates without jobs! It takes capital to educate a child, and CAPITAL to create an enterprise!
I have one question, if the offices being mentioned here are to be eliminated, why did they have them in the first place and funded them if people were to live within their means?? another thing, a question was asked of extravagant spending of the government, that question was dodged with other things to fill the space. if you ask me, this roundtable did not sanitize Mr. President in my judgement.
Good job taking him to task. You guys should have also asked him about capturing the parliament. My take however is taht Ruto has his mind made up about what he wants to do and nothing is gonna stop him short of kicking him out.
He's good at giving hope. See how he's sweet talking on JSC teachers and clinical officers when they had been on the street demanding their pay. And every time on stage he says no money for JSC teachers and clinical officers.
let us go back two years, why should we borrow, let us default, by borrowing you will not pull kenya out of the death trap, let the consequences come, streamline your government, fires all the CS they are doing nothing
What i actually feel or rather see is that, we want production where there is no input... The only major issue is how we gonna reduce this parliament salaries n put the money elsewhere
To be honest,,there is no point made yet on the cause of the matter…let him say here against what he said when he was elected…let him say what he has done to the people of Kenya, and let him say what he is planning to do..hakuna kubalance maisha ya wananchi na corruption…rubbish!!!at some point nafeel atoke hapo akafanye vile anataka..let him watch Kenyans living without jobs, etc if dropping the bill took us back to 2 years, heri ikae hapo 2 years ,it was better and we had legit fertilizers
Linus why are not talking about the burning of the parliament and the properties destroyed... Are the peaceful protestors doing all this ? And how did they manage to enter the parliament building? Linis do expect not to be deaths and injured people as the forced themselves in the parliament or the police were to open the gates for them to burn down the parliament?
Why do you need to borrow instead of cutting your expenses on the parliamentary salaries and extravagant spending on renovations, houses, buying lavish cars.,,etc…that where the taxpayers money is…😊
Ruto is a good President and he love his country and his people and he respect the law, remember no president can explain things like this in AFRICA, I feel his pain 😢
I have to say...I will commend him for taking the hot seat...even showing up to get grilled is a step forward. I have grown up in a kenya with Moi...he would never. Fought fire with fire. I'm not a Ruto fan ..but he sat here and took it...dodged questions...but took it. Kenyans need to get smarter about who they are electing. Not voting in goons like Babu Awino and smiling about it.
I haven't heard Ruto say he's going to look on how to create more opportunities for the youth and the unemployed, he's only talking on money and cuts! This guy is CLUELESS!
That's the thing...these politicians are misappropriating those funds. ..stealing on loans...and they are not paying any of that back. Kenyans have to be the ones to carry that load. It's honestly embarrassing. Ruto needs to start weeding those people out.
Ironic how we Kenyans behave like the very dictators we claim to fight..That things must and must be done in our way failure to which we will burn parliament and statehouse..and how we bully and abuse our presidents one after another from Kibaki, to Uhuru then now WSR... We should hold ourselves to the same moral highground we hold our leaders to.
How do you claim that Kenya is financially challenged while at the same time creating unnecessary possessions for your wife, children, friends, and friends.
Thank you! This whole interview inashangaza. How can we be in a financially dire situation and there is still unnecessary spending from this govt. He has made no effort to recover any money from corruption. His only solution he has is either to raise taxes or borrow...wth
Mr. President, the mistakes of previous administrations need NOT permeate your ADMINISTRATION; the Government should desist from being Baba na Mama to Kenyans who are a very hard working and creative lot; what we need is NOT a giving government, just one that makes us want to invest here, and bring in foreign investors because it is make business sense! Yo are busy killing business and investment, the government is the biggest employer because NEPOTISM is the driver! When you continue the same error for selfish hold on power, you refuse to allow dynamics of business to work, and we remain THIRD WORLD! In 1972 we were doing better than South Korea, today S. Korea summons YOU to a conference! Simply for selfishness!
To be honest,,there is no point made yet on the cause of the matter…let him say here against what he said when he was elected…let him say what he has done to the people of Kenya, and let him say what he is planning to do..hakuna kubalance maisha ya wananchi na corruption…rubbish!!!at some point nafeel atoke hapo akafanye vile anataka..let him watch Kenyans living without jobs, etc
Kenyans should recognize and must know the weight they carry, no matter how much you hate the president’s policies, and whatever your disapprovals are for the job that he’s doing, you should know your limits as a loving citizen that wants to voice their disagreement. Lives and business were lost and it was preventable. Don’t fall into the trap, this is trap that’s well coordinated. Just take a look at your neighbors. And let me just say one thing, you can never achieve anything through violence, and yes, you may think it’s about forcing Ruto out of the office, and believe me, It’s not.
No peaceful protester was killing another protester, the Government did. No peaceful protester vandalized people's property, goons did so please don't besmirch the cause and see that the system cannot keep up with the knowledge and courage of this generation.
I'm Gen X first born, Ruto's senior by one year BUT identify with my kids who are Gen-Z because I never identified with looters; It's their future. And I will tell you there were positives in the 2024 Finance Bill but are now lost. I want to invest and create employment for 2 or 3 yet I have hardly ever earned a coin in this land, and I am of mind to leave my money where it is for my progeny as it is. Unless and until I can be guaranteed the corrupt wont be asking for a cut, my money stays where it is safe, where Ruto is keeping his too.
Wahurumia nani wewe ba watu hawana job hao wanavote yes juu watataka pesa juu ya family zao.protet ya mavii, walichangia wenyewe na wewe unaumia juu ya Mali zilipotea hao waliokufa mbona sikuoni ukiwa na pain
