That is scary. I'm glad you had a place to stay safe. Yes, to the person that said you are handsome. We all know that he is handsome! It's Michele! Bello! Stay safe Michele.
2:31 2:32 The protestors get angry bcz of police throwing teargas to them that moment they run to look for shelter they loot. Kenyan is not the 1st country to protest.
🎉Guys please remember with democracy you need accountability and this govt needs to pay for it's dues,,also know to get development free from a Corrupt govt some people have to suffer to achieve this
Your live caught the downtown action best. From a high position local TV could not. Coincidence? Wrong place wrong time? Right place right time? Hard to know 😅 Glad you are safe. (Hadn't known you are around)
The shops+toilet is a county/city council building with Green/Yellow. Generally many people are Angry with thee government. Notice its the only one being attacked?Even though thesee are goons But I feel sad for whoever rents it from the county
You should feel sad for yourself too: cause your taxes created these shops. And it's crazy they are stealing from the shops that tomorrow they'll need to buy water from
Nairobi outskirt areas in housing estates were safe. The City Centre was crazy. The area you are in was very unsafe. But you got nice shots. Stay safe. Dont walk with expensive equipment and dont walk at night during these protest period. It will be well. Our president only knows this language. He has been ignoring the youth and bringing punitive taxes. He is folllowing the west too much.
As with most destinations with tourists, avoid walking alone at night, since Ghana is not a safe country for tourists at night. Foreigners, even during the daytime, are often the target of thefts and muggings.
I know that Wode Maya won't admit it publicly, but Kenya is much more developed, internet coverage even in remote villages, and lots of foreign companies investing here. Kenya is a massive tech hub. Also Kenya attracts much more tourists, and even during covid there were less restrictions here than in Ghana, and it is one of the main reason I didn't go to Ghana. Anyway, one day I'll go there.
These are not people fighting, but people using the opportunity to steal just as politicians do. And for your info, great man, we got stuck inside the building cause the owner closed it to safeguard it
