↣ Are you a full time RU-vidr?
I work full time online as a 'Digital Nomad' which means I get to travel the world with my fiance (Ed) and not be tied to living in any specific country. I teach courses on Udemy (check out my profile here - www.udemy.com/u/louisecroft/), and run several companies, plus of course blogging and RU-vid.
↣ When did you start blogging?
I created my blog in 2012 when I was living in America. I was thrifting so much that I wanted to start sharing my outfits online and inspiring other people to look in charity shops. Now it's become all about my Digital Nomad journey and what it's like to be a female nomad.

I'm from the South of England but I currently live out of a suitcase travelling all over the world.
↣ Where is your favourite place in the world?
I fell deeply in love with Gili Air when we visited as a paradise getaway, but Chiang Mai is my favourite place to live. Plus of course, there's no place like home (Dorset in England).

Ah such a fun livestream 😍 very keen for you to do more of these ☺️ and so happy that it was recorded - so I could catch up with it in slower time. Yes to nomadic thrifting videos! I’m possibly the world’s unluckiest thrifter so I need some tips! Thank you for the life coaching update - so cool that you have 3 and invest heavily in time & money in using various life coaches. Very interested to see your Japan videos for your 30th & also to see how your 30th year unfolds - it sounds so fun & exciting! very jealous of having winter skiing semi planned - I need to get something booked soon before I forget how to 🎿 Intriguing to know a million or more from selling Amazon stores! I also love your take on being a nomad v “career” the linear path versus many exponential opportunities open to you - that sounds very attractive to me. I just returned from my first trip to Europe and experienced a lot of frustrations. My USA phone plan wouldn't work in Spain, Gibraltar, France and Italy. Wifi calling could work in theory but it didn't actually work. So no calls, no data, unless in free wifi range. How do you deal with having a working phone in new places and avoiding roaming charges? Every time you go to a new country do you have to spend a full day or three getting set up with phone service, local currency, drivers licenses, transit passes, etc?

We normally get a local sim at the airport - but it only takes five minutes :) some people like Google FI because it's a sim card that will work everywhere in the world. Depends what works for you :) hope that helps!

@@digitalnomadgirl I wish RU-vid had notified me of this reply! I will have to research Google FI. Coming in via ship, the cruise terminals are nothing like airports. There is usually not even a convenience store or currency exchange, just a line of tour operators or taxi drivers looking for business. I did fly into Barcelona but had no idea that I should buy a local sim, or if it would work in my phone? I wish cruise lines prepped me better.
