Wow, the approach to Gare Centrale, it’s absolutely stunning. How the city lights up at night. It literally looks like approaching the main entrance of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant
Sunday was a bit quieter and that was the day out of the two that I went. The next day on Monday, when regular service began, it has been much more quieter and you can get the front and back window views on most trains, at least outside rush hours.
The night really makes what I consider the most blah section--between Brossard and Panama--much more scenic. I loved how the skybridges as Du Quartier glowed. Although "I'd love to ride during a thunderstorm or a really good snowstorm" combined with that manhole video I commented on earlier may have made me think, ever so idly, that your house words are "thank you, may I have another?"
Fantastic trip, especially at night. The portion on the bridge looks great! Nice view of the skyline too. Can't wait to see the next section open! Have you ever been on the Canada Line in Vancouver? I've heard a few people compare the REM with that system, though Vancouver doesn't have platform screen doors.
The description says Tue. not Wed. Minor error. Having said that I appreciate your channel as it allows me to see what it is like to ride on the brand new REM.
From what I heard, they are starting then service with 4 wagons at all times. They might eventually switch to 2 wagons during off-peak hours. I am not 100% sure though! We will have to wait and see.
Yes I agree it's a cool ride indeed. There is a small section, which happens to be where the apartments and residential buildings are, where it has a slight increase in sound. This happens just before approaching Central Station near the Lachine Canal. It sort of sounds like a roller coaster.
@@SkyOfTheUniverse I can see what looks to be sound barriers but it's no where near high enough, plus its on a curve so there's more friction, not sure how they'll resolve that. I sure wouldn't wanna buy a condo right next to a train lol
@@rickdeckard9810 That section is also right next to the viaduct that the diesel electric Exo and Via trains use to access Gare Centrale. Not as frequent, but boy howdy do those mainline trains do waaaay more than 75db.
