Yesterday during the Nurburgring 24h 50th anniversary, John Hindhough *had* to mention Ratel and how "much he disagreed with him." Honestly, considering how incredible Ratel's influence on GT3 has been, and how inclusive the world of GTWorld is to literally...*the world,* his comments were not well-received. GTWorld is my racing home, a golden era of incomparable gentleman racing.
Love John, but you’re right. GT3 has been amazing for sportscar racing and it will be sad if/when the formula changes and manufacturers’ support wanes.
Hindough should be glad... Sports car racing was in a very bad place in the 90s. Thanks to SRO, Hindough still has his job. Yeah, he works for IMSA and ACO, but if it weren't for GT racing's boom in the late-90s thanks to Ratel, Le Mans would have been affected too.
2:48- I'm going to bet that sandy didn't even know that Porsche was there.. the Porsche committed to the inside much earlier than the normal racing line dictates and I don't think sandy even expected a car to be there
Joe Osborne is so long winded. But I literally like everything he has to say. He needs to be in that booth alone. As much as I like Andy McEwan’s work and his knowledge and excitement in his voice. I can listen to Joe Osborne all race lol
Lmfaooo I liked his jokes. Calling F1 canoe racing in tax haven Principalities, Ulice De Peuw a strip club, a team mechanic a used rubber, missing his own wedding to race. I was cracking up.
