@@jing107430 Ever heard of Repeal and TRO by the supreme court because its unconstitutional? These approach that you mentioned will just take a right amount of money from lobbyist to our lawmakers and Supreme Court to overturn the said laws that you are suggesting. So, No, we already tried it and its always like that,. And that's why enough is enough, we cannot have it like that anymore. We amend the Constitution, to prevent the same lobbyist to do such thing and that's it. If you guys, keep on insisting the current constitution, then you should blame the framers why they put modes of Cha-Cha on it.
Davide is being a colonial mentality. He thinks that foreigners will invade us Face the facts philippines is the most restrictive economy in ASEAN and only Nation has Economic Restrictive policy within the Constitution not in a Legislative Sector Policy.
Praying that all budget including of congress shall be subjected to yearly audit not just mere certification only since it is also ruin our economy in term of corruptions.
Senator Pimentel is right. There must be a formal announcement to the people that the Senate is now performing its job as a constituent assembly, as serious as that Constitutional task is. The people must be informed in real time so they are able to vote of on it judiciously in the plebescite, if any. It cannot be done like in an ordinary legislative process. Amending or revising the Constitution is not just the task of Congress or a Constitutional Convention. The people must participate because they are ones who will ultimately approve it, and they are the ones who will benefit from the changes, or suffer from it.
I agree, a proper information drive about the Economic ChaCha is needed once the ConAss is done and just waiting for Plebiscite. This is the one that the FPDu30 admin missed out during his term. He has all the cards and support of the Senate to his call for Federalism but choosing Mocha Uson as his information spokesperson about it is the one that really killed that campaign and Covid-19 just the final nail on its coffin. At least the EdsaPwera ads made it to National TV and open up the curiosity of the many even though it is a bad publicity.
Changing the constitution is not solely the task of the Congress but with the participation of the people through Information drive and the provisions they would have to present to the people for approval through plebiscite. The bottom line is transparency.
Justice Davide and Atty Monsod should guide us on how to amend the constitution for the Economic Provisions. Have they asked an OFW like me why we leave the country? No? Because they are not the ones who are looking for a secured employment with a better pay and benefits. They are not the ones who are running a small businesses that is being threatened of closing down since there are no customers? We are not going to do a Political Amendment here, so they should not worry on changing it. Because by the end the day, the constitution will change, like it or not, if not today then tomorrow. Even though, Sen. Risa Hontiveros has a good point on the red tape part, but then again she should create a bill that will trim the red tape. Because to be honest, no MNC in their right mind will invest that much on a country with so much red-tape and will only gain 40% of its ROI... And while you guys are at it, maybe Yellow Team can push for Health Amendments as well which will include free maintenance and free checkup for our seniors and minimum wage earners as long as they are Phil Health members.
No to liquidations/clearing of annual MOOE by certifications ng mga lawmakers na sila din ang gumawa, nag issue at pumirma isubject din ang mga ito sa COA audit gaya ng ibat-ibang sangay ng gobyerno. No to legalized corruption of unscrupulous lawmakers using Concurrent Resolution No. 10, abolish this resolution and subject lawmakers’ annual MOOE to COA audit.
Thank you po for your wisdom CHief Justice Davide, MAy God continue to bless you more with good long healthy life and sharp mental faculties. The Filipinos and Our country need an HOnorable and patriotic man like you po. God bless you and protect you always po.
Angara. Thank you sir for serving the country with your heart. Very humble, very respectful and knowledgeable of his job.
Kong gusto mo tumulong. Pwede naman kahit hindi ka senador. Gagastos ka lang. Itulong mo na lang. Tagaganga advice lang po. Salamat po
Hhh.. Yun din tinatanong ko now. Di ko tlg nkita c lapid n tumayo.buti p c Ruben Padilla lagi sumasama s mga hearings nkikipgdebate. At ngaun isinusulong yang gusto nyang batas. Kht ayw ng iba bsta maipahayang nya sloobin. C lapid lagi nanalo s pgkasenator di isang beses di nktayo.
NEVER vote for the POLITICAL DYNASTIES.
It should be and it has to be, Former CJ Davide and Atty Monsod are just fighting for an ideology and legacy that is no longer applicable in this age... I mean the change will be an Economic one, the political one will be left intact. So they should have an opened mind about it and guide us instead... I mean Cory is dead, PNoy is dead, Kris is sick and just want a peace of mind with her kids, So no Aquino from the line of the late Sen. Ninoy that they can used now. And most of the EDSA 1 key players are either dead or admit that the 1987 Constitution needs to be reviewed and modified. Because like it or not, the 1987 Constitution will be amended one way or another.
NOT rush? tama nman pro this is to be now. almost 40yrs.. adding 10-20yrs din mga tawo in the future to say din not rush because they feel it to... nku yari tayo nyan.. which means not effective ung constitution.
Corruption grabe.
😢good job to all senators..make it sure that having to amend any provision in the constitution will be very fine and helpful to benefit our country & uplift the economic condition of our poor countrymen..GOD BLESS the PHILLIPPINES...MABUHAY
experience is the best teacher local foreign country economic change and wage minimun salary to compare local foreign country is difference, first experience work in singapore is difference to foreign country, traditon economic, salute for senate support to each other to improvement to all, thank you very much greting to everyone@
Thank you for your wisdom Ret. Chief Justice Davide, you are a true Filipino Patriot. Very profound insight that served as a wake up call and slap in the face for all these hypocritical Senators.
It must be provided that the COMELEC will be charged on its wrong doing before a body independent from COMELEC control. Example of following questions: Ferdinand R. MARCOS, jr. Was charged of non- payment of TAXES of 203 billion and was allowed to run by the COMELEC. RODRIGO R. DUTERTE was allowed to run for PRESIDENT by the COMELEC although he filed in lieu of a MAYOR. PARTYLIST candidates provision must be scrapped. DYNASTY must be constitutionally provided itself in details.
A salute to you, ex Chief Justice H. Davide Jr. How good it is of having you clarifying the economic provisions of our constitution, the real economic problems, and of your opinions of what needs to be done instead of cha-cha. May God use you to help protect our country from this evil cha-cha.
@@rubenquinto1130 Yes, Azcuna is also one of the framers and he is open minded and give lecture on how the economic provisions should be written.
Risa, is unfortunately close mind and with a sentimentality that is obnoxious! Mr. Dumdum was citing history! Thank you mr Dumdum na you are what is present!
we are lagging behind because of rampant corruption and voting for undeserving officials.. you voted for an actor exconvict, siblings, mother son in the 24 member senate. you voted for convicted tax evader. you voted for mass murderer etc
I hope the other senators considers the point of order of Sen Riza. Also, Sen Sherwin should be clear regarding restrictiveness study of OECD on which specific portion, meaning is it the equity? Or was it bec of the bureaucracy? Or cost of electricity? Tama si Sen Imee. I have same responses from foreign investor. In fact, they don't want to own land nor are bothered by 60-40, they are more concerned with corruptions and unstable business climate esp if cha cha pushes thru. Let's pray hard that evil schemes will not win.
Korek like here sa HK dhil khit PWD dito may work bsta kaya nila.nasa Mcdo, kfc o jolibee sila nagwork iba pa .di gaya sa pinas walang lugar ang mahirap sa work kaya puro pàlimos.
ecnomic senate is the best way support to each other for solution, maganda magtrabaho sa goverment may mga benefit ang mga empleyado, ilan percent iyong mga natural resources, solar makatipid iyong sa energy @
Very professorial si Justice Acuna, "Be it resolved" & " unless provided by law".
As always, you are amazing, Sen. Risa Hontiveros. In here, you are able to point out and clarify in plain and simple statements, the real economic problems of our country and their solutions. May God help you in your work and may He continue to give you good health, wisdom, and protection...🎉
2:48:06 that's passive aggressive mr. Angara.
I wirked with Filipinos in the united states they are good workers and speak English fluently the problem in the Ph is graft and curraption yan an dapat ma change natin
Therefore, there is no need to amend the "protective" economic provisions of our constitution because congress can always pass a legislation to address the pressing economic problems, as has al😢w
FYI, Congress is one of the branch of Philippine government with equal power among the executive and judicial. Congress ay binubuo ng Senado at House of Representatives. Itong RBH6 na tinatalakay ngayon ay galing sa House of Representative iyan it all talks about economic provisions at walang political provisions. Stop spreading lies and fake news be a responsible citizen, pls!
Constitution is the basic and highest law of the land. Constitution serves as a Contract Agreement between the Filipino people and the Government. No one can change the constitution unless otherwise ratified by the Filipino people.
Gerardo Sicat isn't wrong. Economic policy should not be in the Constitution and this is one more thing to hit the original framers of it. They we wrong, and their mistake must be corrected or we will fall further behind out neighbors.
