CASTRUM's Live Sessions is a collection of videos, which gives a real insight into artists and their performance from uncut, unedited footage.
Notting Hill Carnival, a celebration of Caribbean communities, their culture and traditions returned in 2017 to the streets of London over the August Bank Holiday weekend for its 51st year. It was an extra special event, due to the recent blaze at the Grenfell Tower Block, with many people shelling green to pay tribute.
Live Session 566 hears the drums bang and click as one dub comes to an end, and Mikey Dread puts on the next record before pulling it up and giving some words of thanks and future works Channel One Sound System will be doing. Ras Kayleb comes in with conscious chanting, before passing the mic onto Ras Sherby who sings some verses over the same rhythm. Ras Tuffy Irie lays down some more vocals as the tune runs again.
