I thought it was hard watching Lance trying to overcome the mental part of committing to the ollie, but Gabe's was much more of a difficult one. I would never have expected to find that Gab didn't know how to do the 5 stair at this stage of his skating. Lance deserves so much more respect after seeing this. It reminded me of my old time skating when I would film my friends and at first i thought it was a technical issue where they couldn't figure out how to do the trick but after a good 3 hours of seeing them bail and bail and bail you realize that they already know how to do it, but it's them not committing to it. Man skating really is awesome just from the way it makes a human being forced to overcome their most natural instinct in fear of getting hurt because it is programmed in us to avoid things that might cause us pain or put us in danger but skating completely goes against that and in turn rewards you with the joy and thrill of the fun that comes with not only landing a trick and its adrenaline but the ultimate self made achievement of doing what you thought you couldnt do only to realize it wasnt anything else but yourself stopping you.

I honestly learned all my tricks down and over shit with a helmet on. Not only because you're more prone to mess up and eat it, but it also gives you that little boost of confidence knowing that you can't seriously jack yourself up. So if you kids are struggling, take that advice. And also don't give a shit about anyone that'll make fun of you for actually protecting your head

Gabe's so good at ground tricks, I'm supprised he didn't do this the first day.

I live in a small town called Bournemouth, in the south of England. When I learned to skate I was acid dropping off 7ft ledges before I could kick flip. I never learned the technical side of skateboarding, I could barely kick flip, and I haven't been skateboarding for a long time but just bought a fresh set up at 26. This is the sort of thing every kid should be doing. It's so much fun and a huge adrenalin rush! Break some legs!

How can you get to the point where you can big double flip but can't ollie 5 stairs lol. I can't even varial flip but I'm this close to kickflipping a 7 stair.

I've been skating for 5 years now,then I stopped for a whole month to focus a bit for a semester,been doing a lot of stairs before I stopped,then the i skated the new park at my town,couldn't do shit anymore. Glad I've watched this,imma go back to the set tomorrow,wish me luck guys.

Nice job Gabe, all you really need to get in the mindset that you are going to do it no matter what is falling. If you commit, you may fall, it will suck. But you will realize that it wasn't as bad you thought it was and get over it. I learned to ollie a 5 stair before flip tricks and grinds. In the long run it's your choice. The way you're progressing, you'll be tre flipping it in no time. FTH!

Hey Aaron man you're a big inspiration and you teach so many trade secrets step by step. I got your basics video because for years I was never that great, but lately I've just been watching your videos more and more and others to just watch. I see now I have such bad form and I never realized it's insane, I want to send you a kickflip video maybe you can help a guy who's been trying to learn it but just can't, I think it's mental. I especially learned how to ollie and grind a bit from Ninja and you but ninja has mad flat bar skills! Anyway long story but you I really just wanted to say thanks after a long day of skating, I kept imagining that princess floating sound from mario you do in your one ollie vid, that made me laugh man you're chillin.

May you please do a video about someone boardsliding down a rail who has never done it before, I would truly appreciate it and keep doing what you are doing, your videos keep me motivated to keep skating and progressing
