@@nusman let me try to be more precise: comparing the more expensive Furutech (1300euro) vs free black add-on power cable, at time 38:00 vs ca 20:00, the more expensive does the following (sorted by difficulty to miss, in descending order, from very difficult to .. well, I hear that): - Presence of Hi-hat and snare drum (very recessed with black PC) - There is an entire wealth of details that is taken out of some black waters to the light: here is some hall, there is variability, details.. more musical, more fluid - Tonal variability and dynamics of bass: with the black one its a bit bloated and simplified, with the Furutech i feel it is alot easier to follow each note (while being distracted by 2 hands’ play on the piano) - Bass drum becomes alive and gains volume - Piano: impulse, tone etc, all sounds more real, and i would say musically a bit more expressive - generally I feel closer almost able to follow (and, if i was fast enough, to write down) the notes of 2 hands on the piano and the bass notes, all at the same time. I compared now at max bitrate, listening via ipad & KEF one motion via ACC bluetooth, i.e. through quite a narrow bottleneck when compared to reality. There will be some involvement of imagination and extrapolation of own experiences, but i hope not a lot.

@@oysteinsoreide4323 I’m saying this open minded having tried and thinking I would purchase Chord interconnects but in the end blindly I chose the full naim cabling. Just saying it’s for me I think the best balance for naim equipment

@@faizm5607 For that price it better be good though. And I see that it features 4mm2 conductors which is very good for having good dynamics. Good on them.

@@TheAlphaAudio i was there and I was amazed about the difference you could hear, that I hardly (or not) heard. ‘You hear the touch of the piano’ seriously? In that setting, in that room that would not really be possible. But you KNOW that song so you heard it there… I am not convinced, especially the words you use to describe the cables; mind blowingly good, sounds more real or detailed. I didn’t hear a lot of difference and I was in that room as well. There was too much talking while the music was being played and too much talking in between…also by yourselves. Next time do a (double) blind test to see which one is your favorite and try o do the changes as quickly as possible. Then you have a proper test…

Frans Snarf Welcome indoctrinated mind by ASR. I laughed at you so loud :). I'm always do. And blind tests are worthless. Mistakes or being not sure doesnt prove there are no differences. Amir(ASR) and Della Salla(Audioholics) - known in YT from not knowing what they talking about.

@@sheerenergy8602 Yes reality is difficult to comprehend these days. I would suggest read Floyd Tool about blind testing.

@@Ssection31 I would suggest you not to read, but to try DO A EMPIRICAL EXPERIMENT. Paper will accept anything. Reality is I scored 160 IQ and cables do influance on how system gonna sound, how much of a system potential will be released. I have my own system and done cable swiching many times. I have over 20 years of experience and I dont need any schoolboy tell me what i've experienced. I have my favorite drink, but in blind test i can mistake it with second best. The same is with cables. Mistakes doesnt prove anything about cables, only about peoples are not perfect like a CNC machines.

@@sheerenergy8602 seriously? A blind test is not the best test for this? OF COURSE it is!! I was in that room with a few others and we hardly heard any difference. Only when they put the worst and the best right after each other, you could hear something. The way this test was done was fun, but not a proper test. Also because of the constant talking (even by the hosts) distracting you to listen properly. I have heard incredible differences between power cables, but this test was not a proper test.

@@nusman OF COURSE blind test proves nothing! You hardly heard difference, but Jaap with his trained ear heard it prety good and one of guests heard exactly the same areas of differences. For me differences thru You tube also was very small beetwen that better cables. I'm not gonna be more civil for anti-cables trolls/people. So thats why I react strongly and alway will!

A lot of people get very nervous commenting in a large group... and now there are even camera's. It's actually very brave to comment in this situation.

@@TheAlphaAudio how about showing them the measurements of the difference in sound, should be easy with a microphone and computer. Please don’t say you can not measure what you ears can, that would be just plain crazy.

@@jmtennapel Not biased at all, but by design (by design) that’s exactly what happening to the incoming AC.

@@jmtennapel Of course he's biased. A basic understanding of physics as well as how power supplies work biases everyone. These tests only ever show differences when they are uncontrolled, and suddenly disappear in a well controlled double blind trial. It also makes perfect sense too. We not only have complete engineering knowledge and a basis to explain why power cables can't possibly make a difference, we also have a solid and well researched understanding for why we think we hear differences in sound where none exist. If a power cable makes a difference to a piece of equipment then the engineer designing it must be intentionally malicious because not even incompetence could achieve such a result.

​@@TheAlphaAudio You can claim that, but you'd be going against all published evidence to the contrary. The AES has for years attempted to show in a controlled way what people claim to hear, but all they have established is a psychological link, not a physical one. Which stands to reason since we have measuring equipment many orders of magnitude more sensitive than our ears which also show no difference. p.s. I love this channel, ended up using it to direct my last purchase, but please stick to speaker reviews which make actually make sense in this context.
