I came across this channel because I've been following this story. I even went back to the beginning in order to understand what's going on. I will admit, I had never heard of Dolton or Thornton Township. I live in Charlotte NC, which is a huge city. None of our City and Government officials have this much authority. I pray for all of you, this lady clearly thinks that she is above the law, and God for that matter!!! It's imperative that you all vote her out, or you will be forced the leave the place that you call home. How can anyone survive if there's no funds?? In case you are wondering about all my posts, I sat here watching this video and eleven thousand people viewed it but only twelve comments! The algorithm works from subs, comments, sharing and thumbs up for not only the video but the comments as well. The more you do for the video, the more people will see the thumbnail in order to view it themselves. This stuff is important. It gets people interested in their own government works so oversight can happen in expanding waves. Please, care enough to be a beacon of change.

I'm sorry to complain but the younger aged people in chairs could have stood and offered their seats to the elderly people. I do hope that more chairs were brought in for all people attending. Thank you for sharing this meeting for us all.
In Japan, the schools don't have janitors because every person is supposed to be responsible for the space they occupy and their consumption of resources. They clean their own desks, swab toilets and wipe down windows. This works because they are taught about their place in society, their duties to their teachers and the board, learn about daily responsibilities that include keeping their environment well kept. This happens at home, school, university, their jobs, their community and prisons. They live in clean, well kept places because they don't say, "That's someone else's job!" You could investigate "White Clover" instead of grass that needs mowed. The grass in most public owned property isn't native and attracts no animals, insects or birds. With clover, there is no grass to water or no mowing. This is a negative carbon foot print (as in doesn't take from but gives to) Anyplace where cars would park along side of wouldn't have trouble with weeds because this clover grows no higher than five inches. Clover takes over grass instead of the other way around. It smells good too. I am old and disabled but I am trying to make my yard mow free. I grow Woolley Thyme, clover, Roman Chamomile and other plants that don't care if you step on them. We need these to save the bees which in turn will save the food which will save humanity. Teach the kids to be a part of their own space by proving you do it too.
If Trustee Gonzales showed up to the township and did lots of work, but wasn’t actually an employee of the township, he wouldn’t be paid. Same for contractors who did work without a legally signed contract. I feel for them, but the anger should be at the people who told them to do the work without following the designated process to have a valid contract.
This is the most insane situation I have ever seen in my life. How is this happening in this country? Where is law and order outside of Dalton? Feds help these people!!!!

Starting the summer that I was 12, I was eligible to join the Mayor's Summer Youth Program and worked for the summer for minimum wage. For a 12 year old, that was a lot of money for 3 or 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Lawn work for city buildings was a job some kids did. It kept us busy and instilled in us a good work ethic.

If you are going to pay for cutting grass and the people doing it need to earn money on rain days, collect a list of things that need done that keep getting put to the end of a list like sidewalk repair, seeding, maintaining equipment, fixing up fences or even taking down notes for what could be done while they are on the job.

I don't like when some people are guilty, they pull out "The God angle" it's just a cop out to them doing something & getting caught, hoping this will lessen the anger from people, for what they got caught doing IMHO.
I don't understand talking over other people. Take your time to speak and listen until you have the right to speak again. This should be taught from the moment you utter your first word in life. This makes communication break down and the focus for this meeting like all arguments as well. Break down means focus is in the wrong place and in the mean time, stuff gets done that you won't like.
So he wants to get paid for work that he choose to do not one time he said that they voted for him to get that contract. That's why he's not getting paid cause his work wasn't approved by the board

Never in my life have a seen a ‘leader’ act so disrespectful to everyone… I wish the trustees and lawyer would speak up more but they are afraid of retaliation! I do think that the FBI are doing their diligence in the investigation into her, her cronies, and the finances meaning more evidence and likelihood she will be going to jail so as frustrating as it is to wait for her to finally be removed (because an arrogant dictator like her would never step aside) I would rather they gather as much as possible to put her away as long as possible so she finally has a consequence to her actions and behavior.. I do have to say as angry as the residents are the chatter and over-talking makes the community look worse and stereotypical so please try to show decorum despite the anger and frustration that is warranted!

Do you guys not have a program we’re on Friday you send some food home with each low income child to make sure they have some food to eat over the weekend. Do you not have a breakfast and lunch program? That’s free for low income kids during the summer where they can go to the school and eat and that way we make sure they at least have two out of three meals during the summer. If Montana which is not a rich state can do that how can your state not do that?
