I would love to see more videos like this. I love horses, have never owned one but have ridden all my life. I learned to ride in a western Christian camp...I don't usually watch training videos but I love watching you interact with the horses. I've even been able to give my friends with horses some advice I learned from you. Of course I give you the credit and suggest they follow you . I look forward to seeing the live videos and hope this new venture works out well for you. GOD BLESS YOU..
Yes please, I too would love to see more of these live videos. I'm learning a lot watching your channel and I particularly like the way you work with the horses and happy to show us everything you do.
Saw the vid on replay (missed it by two hours). Thank you sooo much for all you do and the insight you share, all your efforts are highly appreciated here 🤩I learn so much for the training of my young horse, really, thanks Tim and all the team!
Would absolutely love more videos like this, honestly love all your videos. I have gained more as a horsewoman watching your videos than any other training I have received. I thank you.
I really enjoyed this video because I learned a lot per the warm up period. This is something I can integrate into my work with my mare. I do not spend enough time concentrating on allowing her to warm up and use her body parts. So definitely would like to see more of these live videos if it works well for you. You are correct in that your videos, live or not, relay the same information. You do not ride for the camera, but for the horse!!!
I would like to thank you for making the videos. You and your family and staff are wonderful people who have earned all the rewards God has given you. Please, yes. I want more videos.
Bob's condition has improved so much since the first video with him. As far as the lighting, another person mentioned adding lights, and I was also thinking that LED flood lights might help for the shade.
It's going to be hard to add enough lights to compete with the sun. I'm thinking if I shade the bright areas, then the camera will pick up on the darker areas better. I'll be working on it and trying some things over the next few videos.
Good morning guys. the sound is great Tim. looking forward to watching live recordings. Hope it works for me in Australia.. as always great camera work from Melinda, Thank you Tim for your videos. 😃
Have wanted to tell you, for a while, that for myself, your sound is great! Really appreciate that because is crisp, clear, easy to understand. So many are not.
love it 💞, internet works awesome and the sound is very clear, just a short mic glitch. I hope I can re-train my 11 year old Mare to my riding style, with a pretty bad No attitude and pretty Dominate. I can't ride every day and have sometimes bad weather when I could... lol Her big issue is right now she's trying to get rid of me when I'm on her going sideways, any suggestion that might help ?? I did ground drive her and she seemed ok, maybe I need to do more ground driving???. She's still new to me and we're still getting used to each other. she's just overcome some injuries and just got Vet cleared. I'm more cautious in my older age now a days 🙂 Your videos help a lot 💯❤
The sound is great. It's a little hard to see when you go into the shadows. Yes, the light-colored jeans help the viewing a lot. Thank you for your patience and common sense.
Can you please make a video - how do you ride transitions - especially canter - walk? Your reins in this Video are so fine, you have golden hands! Thank you for your videos, I learn so much and pay much more attention to the little things when dealing with my horse
I missed the live too, but just watched the replay. It says it was live about 4 hours ago, So you did this around noon? It is great, love it, I am usually riding my own on Thursday mornings as there are no lessons as our barn right now on Thursdays, but I will try to catch you live, but I will always watch the replay anyway, but I hkpe Incan at some point ask live questions You guys do a fantastic job. Thankyou for everything.
I like the live videos! The sound is really good. I don't recall any of your videos with strong shadows like this one. Did you film later in the day? Back in my riding days, the ranch where I boarded had one of those big sodium type lights that lit up the whole arena and we did a lot of night riding. It was like daylight and worked well for us to ride after work. Keep up the good job!
That is the same time that I usually record but when I edit I lighten it some. I can't do that for the lives. I probably can get a more expensive camera that lets me overexpose when I video but that is pretty expensive. I probably would look at shading the sun coming in before adding more lights. Its hard to ad enough light to compete with the sun.
Hi Tim, will you be showing us a video of you & Bob performing in the upcoming ranch trail competition? Hoping so🤞 I've only recently discovered via a YT video, that Ranch Trail is such a thing and it looks blimmin awesome😃 Not something we had when I was riding western here in NZ. We had a fairly basic trail class which was fun and still had its challenges for us rookies and green horses🙂
Sound is great! Maybe some greenhouse shade cloth set up to roll up and down like a tent flap on east and west? Dont know if it would work but might cut the hot spots down enough for the camera to show some detail in the shadows. Its not stupid expensive so maybe worth a try. Edited to add...if you were to try it, i'd buy a small one, 20 x 20 or something, to make sure it works right before you buy a big piece
Thanks for the suggestion! I thought about something like that and was going to mention it to Tim. I think he’d have to shade a good bit though for it to help. I might try backing into the shaded corner by the cows When I tried it with a regular video, reflection from a tin room on the barn’s east side reflected brightly into the camera. Editing the video, the exposure can be adjusted, but not doing it live. I might try it and get feedback from the viewers if the glare is bothersome.
That’s the plan;) Thanks for the feedback! I’m Tim’s sister and video for him. This was my first time filming live, and Tim’s second time trying it out. I could tell it was dark, and tried to move a little, but was worried moving the camera during a live. Usually, I just tell Tim I need to move and he cuts that out. Didn’t want to interrupt him on a live;) The cover on the arena has been wonderful, but the shadows are an issue with videos. We’ll figure it out with a little practice.
