Live TV Vegan debate does NOT go as I expected… 

Not every day that you see the reporter being more biased and dishonest than the debate opponent

The host tried being vegan but it wasnt for her. Animal compassion is not for her. And she completley missed the fact that veganism isnt a diet

"I went vegan for a few days" She actually said that. She'd be more honest if she said she is vegan when she's not eating. Would go to show how little she understands the ideology.

The reporter said she went vegan...for a few days. Does that really even qualify as an attempt? And even just dismissing it so casually - "not for me", as if the deep ethical implications weren't just presented to her.

Enjoyed that one. That stupid presenter girl had the cheek at the end to say she went vegan for health after Joey explained what veganism is.

Your responses and arguments were really well spoken and compelling. I feel blessed that we have you fighting for veganism. I wish the majority of on screen interviews were like this! So refreshing. Thanks from the bottom of my heart Joey.

the news anchor seems so air headed, kept on trying to bring it back to health rather than focusing on the animals; she had her script and was not willing to deviate or improvise into the conversation actually happening. The guest was compassionate, and I would not be surprised if they are vegan within a couple years

Anyone new to Joey's activism, please note that, this man has actual experience on farms and slaughterhouses. He has seen and experienced first hand the kind of stuff most would turn away from. His recent investigation into a large multi location turkey/chicken/duck producer, of which probably supplied your own xmas turkey, was a true shocker. His experience on the farms, and discussing the lack of welfare with major supermarkets was indeed something that needed to be done., and I think we all should be thankful for anyone who exposes such animal horrors. How would we have known about the terrible suffering of these "xmas birds" if Joey had not done this investigation? Joey has his own RU-vid channel and is on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.. I would urge anyone who is interested in making a stand against the abuse and suffering encountered by these animals and birds, to have a look. He walks the walk as they say.

I say I’m vegan for the animals and plant-based for health. People do need to eat appropriately by including an array of whole grains, legumes, vegetables, and fruits daily, along with Vitamin B12. The most ethical diet happens to also be the healthiest. Joey did excellent during this interview / debate. 👍🏽

Well done Joey! You kept your composure and were so well spoken! When I first became vegan I felt so alone and hopeless, being in the minority. Then one day a vegan on Reddit said, “everyone on Earth is vegan, some just don’t know it yet”. I felt some hope. I’ve been vegan for 6 months and I couldn’t believe my ears when a friend, who is a major carnivore, said they’ve been considering giving up meat because of my example. We can make a difference.

Nice to see a video where the opponent isn't an insecure troll with a financial bias towards the meat industry. So they're actually willing to listen to the argument.

The reporter was so typical, you rightly stated veganism is NOT a diet but and ethical stance against animal exploitation, yet she kept saying it was a diet, even at the end, she said she tried veganism for a week, NO SHE DID NOT, she maybe ate plant based for a week but that's NOT vegan. The way I address people talking about youtubers who go back to eating animal flesh is that they were never vegan they simply ate plant based which is a diet, and like many diets they tend to fail. People who go vegan for the animals and ethics do not go back to eating animals. I have been an ethical vegan since January 1, 2010 so I am in my 15th year as an ethical vegan, vegan for life! Joey and Ed are great voices for veganism, taking the torch from Gary Yourofsky!

I love all the wonderful people in your comments sections who have compassion and common sense. So hard to find people who don't make excuses and justify the horrible treatment of humans and animals.

End of the day the only reason not so wholesome ethical people dont last on a vegan diet is because they dont know good vegan recipes, its taken me a few years to find some staple foods as a fussy eater andi would recommend brian turners lasagna as a great go to staple asit tastes amazing and last you a few days, also if you buy mr chens green curry paste and follow his recipe but change out the chicken and vegies for just a bag of frozen stirfry vegetables, a vegan pizza with bbq sauce as the base and mushroom, spinach, capsicum, tvp, pineapple, olives, and red onion as toppings is great, scrambled tofu recipes, spagheti bolegnaise with meat replaced with tvp, mushroom steaks and mashed potato and veggies, basically the staples we grew up with just made tastier and cruelty free

woah great result Joey, you present better every time, vegan meats and bacon etc are more like the animal based product and I think the main reason people might prefer the animal version is that they are more fatty and this is a main reason why people are getting ill and obese

I still haven’t mentally recovered from the turkey farm video 😢 I watched it on 23rd of December and it made me feel so much hatred that I had nightmares in Christmas Eve, woke up and sobbed with heart pains from sadness and anger the next morning, we don’t eat any meat, I still want to know why the BBC hasn’t picked up on it.

I'd like to see more development of "veganic" or "stock-free" agriculture where no animal products are used to grow crops. Fertilizers can contain bone meal, blood meal, feather meal, and fish meal - which are just what they sound like. The book "Growing Green" explains the technique. I'd love to be able to find veganic fruits and vegetables at my local store or farmers market.

Look at Nimai Delgado whom made Muscle Magazine vegan all his life and fit. Many athletes are fit and healthy. I’ve been vegan 23 years I am very fit and healthy, my hair is long, good skin and never sick. I do get my blood checked every six months and all is in good standing. Only supplement I do take is B-12. I watched one video and then I watched more, did my own research, even went into a house of slaughter. I can never under what I saw. I went vegetarian that instance, then I looked into the cows and the process of milk, butter, dairy in general never looked back and changed my diet to a vegan diet. There isn’t anything or excuse to eat or wear any animals. It is a horrific disgust process. Even slaughter house workers have said what happens. I will never forget one video of the pigs not being stunned snd still conscious only to then be put in a poll of BOILING water, thrashing and screaming for 3 minutes. Hanging domestic rabbits upside down. I gave them as pets that I rescued over 55 from a slaughterhouse snd even closed them down from ever selling rabbits again Because of the disgusting deplorable conditions that these rabbits were in. No food or water dying in their cages, sick, injured etc... the way people treat animals is unacceptable. Joey is a godsend to the animals. Speaking up for them. Everyone should. There are many ways you can be an act of this for animals even if you don’t like to be in public or voice your opinion you can always write into your government and speak up. You can sign petitions you can share videos. Just looking at flesh makes me sick I’m an animal. I gave a gag. reflex. When I see a turkey on a table or a piece of steak I don’t actually see that I see the animal and it’s torture chamber. Please people evolve already. It’s not hard to eat vegan. I may eat a processed food once a week but that’s as a treat but I very healthy vegetables and fruits and spices and plant Milks make my own sauces, tacos I make my own vegan meat. Go to RU-vid and look up best vegan taquitos or best vegan enchiladas or whatever you like to eat even chicken pot pies you can make anything vegan. I’m a very picky eater and my food has to have flavor in it or I won’t eat it. I respect the fact that the other gentleman was kind and may look further into it instead of attacking and disagreeing with Joey. The reporter here seems pretty lazy snd uncaring end result a selfish person.🌸💜

It's so silly to think that in 2024 we still have this protein debate... 🙃most people live such a sedentary lifestyle, they hardly need to worry about their protein intake like a pro athlete would; I became Vegan over 3 decades ago and the only thing I need to watch for is B12 and Iron - the rest of the nutrittion I get from basic food...It's not complicated😉

i want to comment that unlike Steve said, i think we vegans are not very kind and neither we have a heart of gold, it's just that this horrible act of killing is so normalized that people think non vegans are normal person. That's not how it works. Non vegans are sooo unkind that it makes vegans seems kinder but we actually aren't. We are normal people. Not killing is not 'kind'. Avoiding slaves, boycotting racism, not raping, not stealing. these things are not kind guys, come on. And Joey, you've done amazing today❤

Normally tv interviews like these are just sh*t shows and this woman keeps bringing veganism away from animals and towards diets when it has been explained to her so many times that it's about the animals. Shows the lack of empathy and thought when it comes to animals. Hopefully the other guy will fully realize the horror of animal agriculture and exclude meat altogether. Thanks Joey for your hard work and dedication for the animals.

I’m vegan 10 months because of Joey. When I try to talk to my friends about changing, I tell them to change one meal for now. Not sure if that’s the best advice but I’m trying

Dairy is scary in 5 mins, was the start of my Vegan journey, Have you thought of doing a similar 5 minute punchy clip on chicken and eggs, another on pork, lamb and beef etc I have many discussions with work colleagues when they ask and my analogy to would u eat a dog always goes down well, but the dairy is scarey goes diwn even better, its punchy, and engages them just enough to get them to think. And maybe people will think twice before that bacon sandwich if they are thinking of that 5 min clip.
