LIVE | UK Election 2024: Speaker and MPs Sworn into Parliament after Snap Elections
The speaker of the House of Commons and new MPs are sworn into parliament after UK election. The country's new Prime Minister Keir Starmer has appointed 22 Labour MPs and peers to key cabinet positions, including a record 11 women, after the party's landslide election victory. Meanwhile, British opposition leader Rishi Sunak set out his shadow cabinet on Monday, with some senior ministers reprising the roles they held in government prior to last week's parliamentary election, while former Foreign Secretary David Cameron resigned. The Conservative Party suffered a historic election defeat last week with a record number of cabinet ministers, including former Defence Secretary Grant Shapps, losing their seats.

I really really hope that you guys show that all this conservative crap is bullshit. I want you Brits to prove that the have nots can really thrive in 2024. Just cut out the graft. Cut out the corruption and put everyday Brits first above big money and investment firms. Make it hard for people to prey on others to get rich quick. Reward hard work. Catch people when they fall.
