THANKS for all you help. I am retired Army and was awarded disability. my retirement pay has my 10% deducted then I get a check from the VA for that amount of 10%. It appears that I am paying for my disability. Anyone else here retired and having the VA deduct funds from their retirement funds to pay for their VA deduction.
I'm 100% T&P for PTSD alone, I have other issues, but the VA does not recognize anything but my tinnitis which is 10 %. I have back and knee issues, congestive hearth failure, diabetes, copd and high blood pressure. Recently, I applied for Aid & Attendance as well as Compensation for Care Giver for my wife and was denied. I don't understand why.
Hi, my PTSD claim was denied because it stated I was not in combat. Which I wasn't but I was an Military Police. Dealt with dead body's and parts of dead bodies.
PTSD does not have to be combat related. Do not give up! Were you given a c&p exam? If not, there are massive problems on the VA side-not the veteran. Keep fight Vet, if you believe that experience impacted you in a way that still effects you today, seek a socond look -appeal-hlr- whatever, just dont give up.
Dan H Dan H 1 second ago I am waiting for a Judicial review (3rd level). I don't know what to expect. The first and second level should have approved my TDIU...clearly I have paperwork (SF50) indicating disability, plus several letters from doctors which allowed me to retire from the government. I am currently at 90%. This is frustrating. My VSO said this should have never gone to the 3rd level. So what am I to expect on this televideo?
Hi there. So I am at 30% service connected disability from Agent Orange and have Diabetes,Hypertension, Glaucoma ( and losing my sight) and now Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3 (I believe.) I have not filed for the CKD or sight loss and not sure how i would pursue this at this late stage in life. I am 77. What , do you think, my chances of being approved for this and perhaps Peripheral Nephropathy might be as an educated guess ? It was such a long and stressful process initially that I hesitate to even enter that fray once again. Thanks do very much for your podcasts and discerning of info to us all. Please stay safe.
I was given 0 per cent for hypertension tension they want to see my hertension readings prior when I'm on medications I'm not stopping my medications to get high readings I'm registered agent orange have hypertension and are presumptive
BUYER BEWARE! I shopped hard for a competent law firm and these guys scored low on my list. Incompetent intake, first of all. I discovered they take like 30% or more of your award. I finally found the Cameron firm in San Diego, who won me over $50,000.00 in a few months and only charged me 20% of backpay!
Hey Walter, it's great that you talked to multiple firms (we encourage everyone to do their research) and you are correct that we take a % of the winnings as payment (all law firms do, that's how we keep the lights on), though the percentage seems a little high. Someone may have misquoted that to you, so we apologize for the confusion. We would love to hear more about your experience with our disability service coordinators. Please email us at info @ hill and ponton.com (no spaces). If you had a bad experience then we would love the opportunity to understand how to make it better for everyone moving forward.
What are your thoughts on applying for rheumatoid arthritis. I have had both osteoarthritis since 2001 chondromalacia with degenerative changes in right knee and rheumatoid arthritis since 2009 in both knees, wrists, shoulders. I do have recent diagnosis and X-rays. What’s the best path forward?
I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and was prescribed a CPAP I am putting in a claim for sleep apnea secondary to PTSD. I previously put in a claim for chronic fatigue which was denied. If my secondary claim for sleep apnea is approved will I get back pay to 2005 when I put in the chronic fatigue claim even though it was denied and Chronic fatigue?
I am a veteran from 1980 to 1983 and I hurt myself out in the world but the VA said I am 100% disabled and I make 1100 a month and I read the VA will subsidize my monthly income, is this still true?
Mr.2100hrs, 20 March, 2023. Hi Mr. Hill, I am a 41 year, Totally and Permanently Unemployable, USAF, and I am all so a widow of a deceased active duty USAF VETERAN. I have been trying for about the last two or three years for Aid and Attendances. But I always get denied 🙅♀️. I don’t qualify for it. As each year and appeal goes by my need for this is needed more and more. I am at the point in my life I can’t take care of myself without the help of someone else. The VA has been as homebound veteran. Please is there something that I can do to get around this? Thanks Sunshine
I have a claim at BVA with docket date of 2013, claim was filed 2010.......... my appeal is now advanced on the docket as of may 2022 ... still nothing
Being 100% recently, I ve heard about free medical and dental...I am paying TRICARE direct deduction and DELTA for my dental...if so, how will I arrange it? Also do I have any property tax benefit? I am WA State. Appreciate it.
I filed for Depression back in March 2020 and was denied because of no evidence but now I've been seeing VA social worker once a month ,receiving medication from VA, I have a DBQ and Nexus from my personal Psychologist. Is this considered a new claim or should this be a supplemental claim?
I have submitted a new claim for Diabetes because a Vietnam an agent orange and also I have a wife of 20 years and they did not have it in my records when I submitted mine, requesting evaluation December 12, 2022. My initial claim after retirement in 2001, I received 10% for left knee and 20% for right ankle. I now have 40% for right ankle post total ankle replacement in 2017. My question is how do I go about getting the bilateral factor added?
@@marilynjohnson5577 Nobody is required to use their service. Maybe quit whining about the fee they charge and put a claim in yourself. It is not that difficult. BTW, a DD-214 is just part of the process so its not "cut and dry. "
Question, what if we have multiple Versions of Medical Records, and these records show Service Connection was made By VA already how do we handle this situation?
