What's your goal?🤔

I was a teacher at an o'level school that followed "Rapid catch up" Schooling for Huffaz students. Every six months students were promoted focussing on Mathematics and English earlier then adding other subjects. We used computer presentations and videos for teaching Science History Geography naming it as "General knowledge". I attended workshops for teachers at TRC (Teachers Resource Center) where this mind boggling idea was presented that modern day schooling is not creating thinkers and it is an obstacle in growth of child as it restricts growth on one end and on other it makes one feel failure. Most big names that made historic changes in course of Technology or innovation had lesser to no experience of schoolingschooling and some even had bad experiences. All of these experiences led me to question why are we obsessed with this schooling system that created us as frightened personalities believing that someone else can make my kids successful and I can not. Have a close look around in classes of 20 to 35 students its only the one or top three that gets this feeling of achieving when in reality they had more capability to achieve but restricted by a pace set for all. On other hand "garbage" students in last 10 to 15 in list starts to explore illegal ways to catch up. The fact that all subjects are imposed on all students equally in itself is evil. The demerits of schooling are self evident and very clear with a long list having issues of bullying, untrained teachers, hectic routine, heavy bags, etc. Coming to your question my goal is to make education for my kids easily available at all times at their own pace making them love what benefits them in future by providing them guidance and not imposing. My four year old is not even writing ABC spending time in just seeing pictures in storybooks asking someone to read. He is showing excellent progress now in understanding phonics. My 7 year old hates academics even reading unlike my 8 year old who loves to read so he reads to his brothers. Mathematics of class 5 and English grammar of class 4 is what interests him now a days. My 7 years old has a slower pace in English but good in mathematics (He is interested in being a businessman one day :D) We don't make fun of his passion but I do make him aware of basics of practical life situations so that he could affirm his belief that he can. Right now my kids spend more time with grandparents and I try to continue with story time at night and even though I am tired I rarely miss any evening outside with them together. Alhamdulillah Quranic progress is going well too. Qari sahib teach them for an hour or two.

Do you follow any curriculum or time routine for your kids ? i want to start homeschooling as well for my 6 & 4 years old, my daughter is now an asthmatic patient by this school tiring routine and stress..i dont want this anymore in her life...

@sanakiren5058 not really, my two cents are: child starts off at a school for first year or two and then once they can do basic stuff and are used to following a routine, you keep them at home and do all the hard work yourself...

@@mohidanwar9067 it's much easy to Homeschool from the very beginning but if you want to quit the school of your elder one, start in the home then you must motivate him first for home schooling and have a talk with him to understand him. You must see his priorities and interests if you want a successful Homeschool. Make an environment in home such as book reading and educational talks. Kids follow their parents to a very great extent so you spend time in quality activities to make them follow it. Make good relationship with kids and be friend them. Duaa from Allah SWT to make you succeed in nobal cause. AMEEN.

Before age 7 dont force your kids to study, it will kill the joy of learning. Give small enjoyable lessons. After 7 in'sha'allah when the brain develops more, he will comply in'sha'allah.

These 4 are bigger challenges : 1.How they read? They will be behind? What about higher eradication ? How will be socialise with others? Reasons of homeschooling isn't clear. Motherhood is getting change into teacher because they bring school at home. Teaching is rewarded if child is doing self learning. Learning facilitation should provide children just support a child to self learning without interference. Sometimes we need to teach directly but we have to express child's understanding. Example of Wadhu is the best way. How children read? First amount of self learning Second we facilitate if they really need like when speaking by corrections of phrases. On some points we teach it doesn't mean teaching is haram. If we have fear of teaching then facilitate with teacher if a child need support. 2: they will be behind ? This worry isn't right at this point we have to change ourself because of comparison. Every child is different never compare even with your twins children. 3: why we do homeschooling ? Schooling concept is not good. We have to unschool our mind. We have to think every child has his own way of learning. School provides books on each level but homeschooling will not set their learning steps. Tution should be last option and child will decide if he needs support but we can't force a child. Ideally don't give them tution. 1:If we can't know their interests 2:when he asks last question 3:kisi cheeze k bechay parh Jana A child has belief that he can't learn by himself because without school he is unable to do that. Never shake their confidence and creat fear in child. If a child isn't worry about his learning that is the best. Agar ak bacha kuch kerny ke thaan lay or ker k rahy woh bohat he zabardast baat hai. Higher education option. They register themselves with local, private or international boards or don't want to registered that is their choice. Jabri education never help children to learn. If you don't registered it doesn't mean you loose everything. You get married, live happily, go to janaha and earn money. During educational stress this question comes into mind I wish I left house, never born or kill myself Because of getting degrees. If a child get any grade that is the good grade. Never put pressure on children otherwise they feel themselves a kachrah / rubbish. Creat ilmi justajoo na k exam ke fikar pyda ho is ak barah admi pyda hota. Agar ap koi Hadith parh rahy hain or apko pata chalay k yeh exam mein nahe aye ghe phir ap kya kerain gay. Parhein gay kya ap kahan kharahy hain apka hube ilm kahan hai. Her bacha talash e haq ke justaju lay ker pyda hota hai or hum usy yeh cheen laytay hain. We shouldn't effect child's haq e justaju in homeschooling. 4: socialising Three type of human grouping ability vice grouping : it is challenging environment for children Aged vice grouping : it is challenging environment Interest vice grouping: this is natural grouping and cooperate each other. It is best grouping. School take aged vice grouping but promote ability vice into next class. Socialising will not develop fear with people. It is possible in homeschooling they meet different aged group people and welcome everyone and have no fear with others. School handle children differently but home schooling don't damage children learning. If we are doing anything which sounds like school work then stop and think about it why we are doing it at home. Lack of clarity makes homeschooling worse. Never engage in system on its terms. Self learning ko Kesey facilitate kerain: Ap ny mahool per kaam kerna hai jesa k bachay ko reading kerwani hai tu kud mazay lay lay ker read kerain or mahool mein ziada books lay ker ain. Likhai parhai bohat choti cheeze hai learning mein. Bachay ka self esteem bohat aham hai. Agar ak bacha ghar k Kaam kerna cha raha hai yeh be learning hai yeh paper or pencil sy ziada faidamund hai. Farming is best activity to learning whole procedure how to grow? It is very important to learn. Creativity sy ak bahri height achieve hoti hai. Farming ,cooking and travelling is important for learning children while doing homeschooling. Aam or simple se travelling kerain na k tourist points. Agar ap homeschooling Kerty hain or travelling nahe kerty tu homeschooling incomplete hai. Family: apny grand parents ke zuban ani chahiey, apny khandan ke tareef honi chahiey, apny bachpan k waqeeat sunain achai stories sunain na shukri ke batein na kerain. Family ke customs ka zikar kerain istarah history be pata chalay. Objectively discuss kerain agar kuch wrong hai tu be positively discuss kerain. Allah keray homeschooling ko achay tareeky sy barhain.
