I had a few Crip friends mostly when I lived I'm LA & not one of them was proud about it & really didn't want to be that. But most of them had no choice bc it was all around them & they felt trapped. Thank God a very close friend of mine who was a Hoover changed his life bc of Boxing. He trained under Kevin Rooney, Mike Tyson's trainer. I pray he's doing well now. We lost contact throughout the year's. Even he told me how ridiculous the culture was & nothing to be proud of.

That interview Monster did back in 93 I think, where he talked about wishing he had a father in his life made me tear up, especially seeing Monster fight back tears when speaking about it. Shit is an epidemic that black boys always suffer the worst, and it still ain't changed man. Goddamn. I actually think if Kody had a father who stepped up there'd have been no limit for him to achieve that which he was more than capable of. I don't mean any disrespect to him or his family, but apparently his real father was an NFL player and as you know an NFL player would have had the means to pay for Kody to have a good private education. I'm only saying what is in the public domain already, it's not like I'm making things up. Monster Kody.. man. As a kid growing up in the late 80’s and early 90’s in NC, we was infatuated with the West Coast and Cripping. Monster Kody and Tookie Williams seemed bigger than life to us. I never in a million years thought that in 2021 I would be able to watch videos and comments on RU-vid about the one and only. Man I wish Tookie and Raymond were still here to do these same kind of interviews. Thank you Kevin Mac, what you are doing here is very important work in my eyes.
