when you say a small amount of food multiple times a day, would ~4 high quality pellets per fish twice a day suffice?

Food containers will say feed as much as they can eat in 2 to 3 minutes. However, you can grossly overfeed your fish in that amount of time. I go by the 30 second rule. Feed them what they can eat with 30 seconds two to three times a day. Thanks for watching!

I had really good luck with 2. And they last for years. Anyone else keep them in this size? I would never isolate just one though.

They are very hardy and social - especially in larger groups. Thanks for watching!

Bryan M nah I only ever kept them in a group of 8 and it’s awesome. Especially when you keep them with other similar colored species. I keep mine with gold ring danios and hillstream loaches. They can all live in a 20 and like flow + oxygenated water. I fed mine live black worms every 4-5 weeks. They also love bloodworms. I tried feeding live earthworms which was a success ish the loaches pulled it apart and eventually ate it.
