torrid's distinct character is shaped by writing well-elaborated songs and being on the road for many years. The release of torrid's EP "...melt" is a milestone that contributes to the tradition of heavy metal.
The four musicians Thomas "Kublai" Reutter (leadvoc./bass), Alexander "Charly" Röder (guitar/voc.), Jeff Roudenko (guitar) and Dima Kerschner (drums), who were all involved in different bands (Chainbreaker, Deadline, Peremptory, Devastation etc.), form the Nuremberg-based power quartet torrid.
The formation of torrid reaches back to the year 2001. At that time the line up consisted of Thomas "Kublai" Reutter (leadvoc./bass), Alexander "Charly" Röder (guitar/voc.), Thomas Seber (drums) and Michael Zichner (guitar). In 2005 the EP "...melt" was released. Already in 2006 Michael Zichner had to leave the band due to professional reasons. He was replaced by Rocco Capasso. In the end of 2009 torrid was drawing to an end. The rehearsal room was terminated and Thomas Seber, together with Rocco Capasso, decided to leave the band. In 2010 torrid found a new practice room but after several auditions there still has been a lack of worthy musicians. Only when Dima Kerschner (drums) responded to an advertisement, the tables turned for torrid. The day for an audition was set. That is when torrid also met Jeff Roudenko, who played the guitar in a local band with Dima Kerschner at that time. We hit it off right away. With new energy, enthusiasm and excitement torrid rises and shines like phoenix from the ashes. And the journey goes on...
