Meet Nadia Musiuk, a 38-year-old Ukrainian woman who has been living in Dubai for the past 16 years. Nadia's journey took a challenging turn when she was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis, which progressively worsened until she faced liver failure. In October, Nadia was admitted to King's College Hospital Dubai, where she met Dr. Parthi Srinivasan, a consultant liver transplant and HPB surgeon from King's College Hospital in London, now directing the transplant program in Dubai.
Nadia shares her story of how the team at King's College Hospital, including Dr. Parthi and Dr. Rakesh Rai, successfully performed her liver transplant. Post-surgery, Nadia received exceptional care and attention from the entire team, including hepatologists, gastroenterologists, physiotherapists, and dietitians. She is now meeting with Dr Kaiser frequently as part of her post-operative recovery, monitoring and care. Her recovery has been remarkable, and three months post-transplant, she is back to normal life, even enjoying hiking again.
