Hello! You beautiful creatures! How the devil are you? Before anything I just want to say a massive thank you for watching the vlogs, This weekend has been pretty freaking hard on both of us. I haven't had an anxiety attack that intense in a long time and by the end of the day I was utterly raw. We always want to come away from a convention weekend buzzing and having nothing to say but wonderful things, especially about monopoly events. This however was not the case at all. Whilst we had some incredible experiences with the guests, the talk and the wonderful people we met. The organisation of the whole thing and the staff were a shambles. We came away made to feel like a massive inconvenience to the staff, watching how some diamond pass attendees were treated well to then be treated as worse than an afterthought. We both have horrible anxiety with feeling like we waste people's time and unfortunately certain members of staff really hammered that in for us. The realisation that a lot of the staff had no clue what was going on was terrifying. A lot of attendees spent a lot of money to meet their favourite guests to be met with cluelessness is not okay. Photo ops and autograph sessions were missed and we have no idea if some attendees are going to be given a refund because of this because from what people have told us they either "don't care" or "It's the attendee's fault" we are not pleased for these poor people.
Our job at the end of the day is to bring you an honest experience so you can enjoy yourself at a future con your hoping to go to. We hate being like this, and we hate having to write things like this, but I refuse to sugarcoat things and not give you the facts folks. That's just the way this devil rolls.

Personally i had a good experience with the staff with jamie, grace, matthew, emma, taylor. I didnt have a photo with ian and paul but my sis did and apparently she was literally pushed by the staff into the op even though she was 3rd in queue.

Thank you for being honest. My sister in law and her children went for both days but didn’t want to return Sunday as there experience wasn’t good but had paid for autographs so had to go Sunday. X

I met, Count Karnstein, and Caroline Monroe, both lovely as pie. They were at the, first one. I fixed her chair for her, they should still, have some Hammer Horror personalities there, who are still alive anyway, the autographs where £15 each, how times have changed.

I am sorry you had such a negative experience with the staff, ( the guests were lovely, esp Alex Anderson..lol). I attended Saturday, I had early entry and disabled fast track, so my experience is slightly different, but i can attest that some staff where wonderful and so patient ( the lady doing the diamond priority for matt smith/paddy C) but i did encounter 4 very rude members of staff, not sure if they worked for monopoly or the venue, lots of.".I haven't got a clue, i don't know" comments. The staff in charge of the que outside of David Harbour, didn't know what was going on. Corey F vanishing and pushing everyone's photo times back so the other guests after him were so rushed and people didn't get the chance to have the photo op etc...Overall we had a very positive experience, but if we had not has early bird and fast track i think it would have been a very different matter.

I'm honestly so glad you had an amazing experience for the most part! That's the thing I don't want to downplay the positives at all, a lot of things went right and were going to go in-depth with our next video, but so much could have been avoided with common courtesy and communication. We had two lovely ladies behind us waiting for a guest and one of them needed wheelchair access they told us how awful their experience had been on the Saturday with lack of access! Everyone deserves to have a good time at these things! We honestly wouldn't have been able to do what we did if we didn't have early bird tickets but the fact that they'd upgraded for previous events and not at this one is disgusting. We're going to try and fight our case and see what happens! Thank you as always for watching PJ!

Thank you for sharing these vlogs, I have only ever been to Showmaster once for a con and then MCM quite a lot. I want to try going to a Monopoly con but trying to work out which one to try between Manchester or Liverpool. With the organisation with this I think I'm thinking Manchester might be best!

Hi ik this is late but I went to this comic con and I only went to see paddy Consdine and the staff were so nice to me I was so anxious and paddy hugged me and I cried... I know exactly who you were talking about regarding the staff member on the Matthew Modine queue. I was in line with my autisic disabled son and the staff member was raising their voice repeatedly at people in the queue. My son coped amazing considering what a negative and unpredictable environment they were creating by shouting at members of the public. Really unprofessional as you said.

They're not exactly cheap events to go to, so it isn't unreasonable to expect some decent customer service. In any other situation when you've paid that amount of money you would be spoken to politely. You were so right to raise this on your vlog 👍

That last part in the car where you’re saying you anticipate negative comments on here just because you’re putting out your opinion and experiences at this con made me sad, don’t ever feel like you can’t give your very much valid opinion! Just because there are hundreds if not thousands of positive experiences out there at these kinds of events doesn’t invalidate the negative experiences people have there too, so please don’t ever feel you can’t be honest and say what you want to say! If anything, this makes me respect you both so much more, the fact you’re so open about your negative experiences at this con! Lou, as a fellow anxiety sufferer myself, I have to say I’m extremely proud of you for staying and fighting through! I know that must have been tough for you but you did it and you should be proud! I saw both videos of the weekend and I can see 100% why your anxiety flared up so I just wanted to say I’m proud of you for sticking it out and for trying to enjoy your weekend still. You’re amazing!

It was a tough one for sure and it really frustrates me as someone whose usually tough as nails. I need to remember I’m human and I’ll have my moments. We always strive to make sure our videos are open and honest, the last thing we want to do is sugar coat an event, lure viewers into a false sense of security, only to be greeted with something like we experienced. I want our videos to be a helpful source to people who may have anxiety that want to see what these events are like. Helping people has always been my goal and I’ll keep doing it till I’m blue in the face! Your a star Daniel thank you again! X

I’m so gutted I didn’t bump into you guys during the whole weekend! I always enjoy watching your con vlogs cause you give honest opinions about everything and let people who haven’t been to a con before know how it all works! Keep going! I’ve been going to cons for quite a few years now and I’ve gotta admit the staff at these events the last year have been awful! I asked a worker in Ian somerhalders queue where his queue was for his autos and she said “you know more than I do!” 😂😂😂 absolute shambles, I’m so sorry to hear what you went through and I hope things really improve in the future for you at the cons ❤

Just found you guys after going to this con myself and I’m now gutted that I didn’t run into you. Don’t feel bad expressing your opinions about the staff, me and my family had a couple bad interactions with them also and I agree that it needs to be sorted. Thanks for sharing your opinions, I’m glad you both got to meet the people you wanted even though there were some hiccups!

OMG! Emma and Hunter are so adorable. The comics are crazy and exhausting. You were excellent. These events need to be better organized. I feel sorry for the guests and participants. It's exhausting. You managed to film it, but I saw one of the attendants in a video at Taylor's desk scold someone for filming. And she was so rough

Right?! The rules seem to be different for everyone I was so surprised I got what I did filming wise. David Harbour was an absolute no no which is fair but I think some guests are absolutely fine with it and some aren't which is fair :) We always ask before we film because we never like to make anyone feel uncomfortable! Thank you so much for the kind words! We always want to give an honest opinion and put the work in so people can feel comfortable and safe with their planning!

Don’t apologise for stating your opinions! Monopoly are really good usually so I’m not sure what happened this year, hopefully next con they improve! And in terms of your anxiety 100% look after yourself at these things, they can be overwhelming. In terms of this staff member, definitely raise this with Monopoly! They cannot be having unprofessional staff at these events 😡 I’m not sure what the criteria is to work for them but customer service should be a background! I’m sorry it caused you such anxiety and I hope it never happens again for you :( cons always bring out entitlement of people and manners just go out of the window! I really do hope Monopoly have better staff never time and I hope it’s not hindered your view on Monopoly and attend again x

I was there all weekend and agree the staff need to communicate better! I was in Matthews queue at 9am Sunday, they sent us away with tickets but then at 12 they gave the same batch of numbers out again to those that they sent away 🤷‍♀️ I was told by staff I was in the right queue for David Harbours auto only to queue for 40 minutes n then find out it was his photo queue 🤦‍♀️ However, Alex was a total highlight for me, he is amazing, so happy and chatty and Grace must be protected at all costs she is adorable! ❤ And believe it or not, this is the third Liverpool con I've been to and it was way better organised than the previous 2

That person who works at the event that keeps singling yous out once is tolerable twice is questionable but 3 times to me it's just wrong and just think if they singled out a kid they'd probably be sacked for it cus at the end of the day they're supposed to help make these events positive and uplifting instead of downbeat and negative I hope yous have more positive experiences in future with these events

Hey, loved the video. I totally agree with everything you say about people being mean to guests - it's horrible. They put time and effort into making it to conventions when they don't necessarily need to but they do and that's amazing that they do go and give fans the best chance to meet them. I'm sorry to hear of how you've been treated and that's unacceptable. Really, the world we're in right now in 2023 is totally unacceptable and rubbish. I thought Sunday was a nightmare. The staff were so rude particularly the lady dealing with tickets for David harbour and one dealing with grace. She was so rude she shouted at the lady in front of me then when I went to choose my picture she shouted at me saying I was going the wrong way.. I was just choosing my picture. The ST guests were lovely and Alex from Vikings took so much time talking to me. I feel like they over sold tickets for the event because it was so unbelievably busy. One lady who worked there was absolutely lovely and if I needed help I went to her as she wasn’t rude and didn’t shout at me. It’s a shame because this was my first Liverpool con but I felt shit leaving like I’d done something wrong.

Hey thank you so much for watching! Oh my god thats awful! Theres nothing worse then being shouted at and made to feel like your massively in the wrong just for asking questions! Thats why I ended up having a massive anxiety attack because the staff made me feel like such a massive inconvenience and I just wanted to go home :( We'd paid so much money to meet these people and asked simple questions to make our day easier but it just seemed to be a massive inconvenience for them! Hey me and my partner Alicia met you Saturday, I'm so sorry you had a rough experience yesterday we didn't have the best time either! It's like you said the organisation was horrendous I only had 2 photos while I was there but, Alicia was down to meet alot of people and because of the terrible organisation it ended up taking all day both days! So we were apart for pretty much the whole weekend we were there which sort of ruined it for us abit but I agree the atmosphere and the people we saw around the convention seemed so lovely it was a nice environment to be in hopefully we see you at the next con we go to! I hope you manage to feel better and don't have to go through this again.

We won't let it put us off going to future events as we are already booked for the love of horror so hopefully we see you there take care! X
