I don't get this idea that Liverpool played badly and were lucky to win. They had a shocking first 30 minutes. But from there on we had our 3d and 4th choice CBs playing...they were solid. Trent recovered from losing his head and was solid too. We contained Newcastle well despite being down to 10 men. Then Klopp makes his subs and they were bold. He went for the win and got it. As soon as Jota and Elliot came on the momentum shifted and we looked more likely to score. Nunez topped that off with a brace. It was a masterclass in how to play with a man missing. Liverpool absolutely deserved the 3 points.

As a MU fan I got to say I can't get over how Liver impressed me that night. It was a crazy 90 to watch. Being leaded by your vice captain, secs later your captain out got sent out and they still manage to win the AWAY. How??

It was Klopp's reshuffle which made all the difference, he decided to ignore both Newcastle fullbacks as they're not an attacking threat and concentrate on the other 8 outfield players, going with a 432 which nullified their 1 man advantage, it was genius, then he switched to 423 when Nunez went on and the rest is history, there was no luck involved, it was a masterclass in tactics, and Newcastle's subs just played into Liverpool's hands too.

Klopp manages his best games for Liverpool when there is adversity and challenges, it forces him to think and get creative and in those games you may as well throw everything he has at it especially at around 75 minutes still only 1-0 down Klopp sensed we could get a draw at the very least. In that game we don’t win without TAA calming down, Allison’s insane save, Szoboszlai basically running enough for two, Elliott working well with him and Nunez finally getting to show what I at least have known he’s capable of (edited part starts here) especially thanks to Salah and his incredible assist for the second goal and some other incredible passes.

What a victory and to see the reaction of both fans in this clip, was priceless. Alisson's save in the first half, kept us in this match. Darwin's 2 goals were well taken, but the best part of this match was Jurgen turning to their bench with his finger over his lips. Tindall the plank.....karma mate. I loved it.
