ON Sunday, 9 June 2024, the UK City of Liverpool held its 80th Anniversary D-Day Parade and Service. The Parade consisted of 2 large contingents of Veterans, each led by a band. The Parade Muster was held on Copperas Hil, next to the Liverpool Adelphi Hotel. Following the National Anthem being played they set off at around 1:35 pm, heading from the start point on Copperas Hill, marching through Liverpool City Center, down:- Ranelagh Street, Hanover Street, Paradise Street, then through the Bus Station next to the former Merseyside Police HQ, and onto Strand Street. The Parade then terminated at the Royal Albert Dock where a drumhead service was held on the steps of the Martin Luther King Jf Building {formerly the Granada TV News building).
