yep insane dominance. I think they made the finals a couple of times more but didnt win, just goes to show how consistent they were. Modern day football is much more competitive though, its hard to imagine Klopp winning 3 more UCL titles. Not because he is a worse coach than Paisley, but because of the financial situation, the high level or competition and rivals, and the insanely packed season with way too many games, causing a lot of injuries and form drop off. 38 league games at least 6 UCL group games, up to 7 playoff games, so 13 maximum total League Cup is up to 6 games FA Cup is up to 6 games Then there is the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup if you win the UCL Community Shield game if you win EPL or FA Cup. And then there a lot of national team games, especially if EURO or FIFA WC happens. So 63+ club games and + national team games.
@@MarkSmith-er7fe real madrid and Roma? The hate and jealousy is so strong it has blinded you and turned your brain to mushy peas. Keep hating while liverpool keep winning 🥰
The fact we won it 4 times in less than a decade, just shows that that Kennedy, Souness, Dalglish, Grobbelaar, team is one of the best teams in history. That decade of Liverpool domination never gets enough credit from anyone
"Never gets enough credit" You have GOT to be joking? Either that or you are too young to have been around then and soak up the reaction over the years Haysel ruined everything for English clubs and it overshadowed a lot but what Liverpool did in the mid 70s to the late 80s is respected and heralded quite rightly throughout the game Btw I'm not a Liverpool fan but was around back then
@@kitokomonero2090 The Champions League is the most prestigious tournament in European football. Because.. European champions are remembered far more than their domestic counterparts. The Champions League is financially more rewarding.
It took Man city 44 years to win the premier League title it took Chelsea 50-years to win the premier League title so your banter towards Liverpool is dead
For me, 2005 was and is still my most favourite Champions League Final to date. How Liverpool remarkably came back from 3 - 0 down at half time against AC Milan to leveling up at 3 - 3 in the second half in just a 6 minute spell, then going through extra time and winning 3 - 2 on penalty shoot outs to win the European Cup for the fifth time. Definitely a great Liverpool FC moment I'd never forget! YNWA

Miracle of Istanbul is the best game of football ever, amazing thriller for the ages. I bet that a hundred years from now people will still remember/mention it.
2019 final was boring asf; if it was us vs Liverpool it would have been a much better match, even though we would have lost. We deserved to be in the final way more than bottleham.
Love the sound of the crowd and connector up the first 2 games. They feel like games in another planet. The fuzzy sound makes it so much better.it is the bit time little a the better Dudek was amazing in that Istanbul game.
i am lucky enough to have seen them all what a period in our history that was 70s 80s paisley is the greatest manager in the history of football period that team from 77 to 85 was something special
Will always remember the 2005 comeback magic. We were the Sheriff Tiraspol of the night, as Carlo Ancelotti raise his eyebrow when he lost it in a spectacular fashion...
Even when Liverpool lost the finals they never lost fairly. 1985. Never a penalty. Boniek was a metre or more outside. 2007. Inzaghi handball goal. Clearly came off his arm. 2018. Ramos taking out Salah and elbowing Karius in the head.
Milan shouldnt be allowed in champions league 2007, they were found match fixing that year, somehow how the hell they are allowed to take part that year and win it
@@Tony.L9793 Milan haven't been serious European contenders in well over a decade, whereas Liverpool have only improved. Sometimes you have to wait for justice
Brilliant. I follow and support the LFC since the 03/29/78. And saw five Titles of the six by own eyes. 😎 Ok the Games before the Finals oftens only on Videotapes from Friends from England but now at this Days of the World Wide Web and Streaming it is not a Problem to watch all of the Liverpool Games. I hope we'll get number seven this Year. YNWA.
Istanbul, 2005. AC Milan were in control, deservedly went 3 - 0 up and playing like future Champions. Second half however, they were a mess, all over the shop. Just shows you, it's more mental game than physical. Credit to the comeback kings Liverpool, genuine European giants.
19 different clubs have played in the final of the European Cup at least once without ever winning the competition. Liverpool have been responsible for 4 of them; Mönchengladbach, Brugge, Roma and Spurs.
Yeah juve is the only team that beat us in cl final without losing against us in a final Although that final should not have been started in the first place
Thank you for videos like this. I became a Liverpool fan when Istanbul happened (the sport wasn't nearly as broadcast back then in America), so I'm still working on learning the history of the club. Getting to see highlights from matches like this is remarkable and shows how truly special the teams (and club) were. Brilliant stuff!
@@mikeburke3576 ESPN used to have the broadcasting rights, then FOX, then it kept changing, but they always did UCL matches. Premier League started blossoming here around that time too.
I particularly remember the old European Cup wins when we used to play Dundalk in the first round, Mighty Antwerp in the 2nd round, then some team from teeeeerki in the QF. That was boss that lad😂😂😂
Both Dudek and Traore were vilified by many fans during that season. But they'll forever be remembered now. Today, VAR would have given a pen and a red card when Kenny was hacked down by the keeper.
Borussia, Brugge, Roma and Tottenham have played only 1 Final in all of their history, and have never won the trophy. AC and Madrid have beaten blazoned teams in Finals. AC won it against Barcelona, Ajax, Juventus, Benfica and Liverpool. Madrid against AC, Liverpool and Juventus.
YNWA i’m 50 years of age and can just remember J CASE in this our 1st European Cup victory 😁,obviously i’ve been through it all !!! it’s just GREAT to see LFC back where we belong
2005 is the best one.our team is underdog Vs prime milan and we win after givin all we got that night.i am really pity with Gerrard he is a great player and captain.he should get a lot great player playing along with him in those era and winning many trophies.YNWA
