Its been two weeks of straight Lawrence since I discovered them completely by accident. I wake in the morn with "Make a move" or "Freckles" dancing in my head and its stuck there until i push play on the youtube. I startn to think that i might have a jones that must be fed!
One of the few bands I listen to more on RU-vid than Spotify. Sound just as good, if not better, live and put on such an energetic show. Can't wait until your fall dates get announced near me!
@@ThePolsss Vulfpeck is certainly one. Childish Gambino's freestyles are great on youtube. Dani Murcia/her.songs. Jon Bellion. Really anyone who seems into their music so much that it adds even more to a song to watch them perform it. As I've been to plenty of live shows that upon leaving, I would have been just as happy listening to them on Spotify.
@@christopherkotansky4813 Thanks, will definitely check them out. I would love to see vulfpeck and lawrence live, I hope they will come to Europe one day.
One of the greatest shows I have ever been to tonight guys, absolutely killed it. Thank you all for taking the time to chat with everyone, fly safe to Chicago, and come back to SF soon!
Kyle, I felt the same when I saw them in Manchester last week. At 47, I've seen quiet a few gigs, but this took me back to my late teens and the feeling I got seeing bands around that time. I was just gutted that all the people I know, who would have appreciated Lawrence weren't present to witness the same exciting band as I'd just discovered! Quick return to the UK!
Thanks for doing the live stream...I couldn't stay awake on east coast but caught it first thing this morn...been trying to catch you guys live for a while now but something always happens...one day soon hopefully. Love all the new stuff btw, looking forward to the new album!
Very great music. You made great steps from four years ago to now 2023. Your music means a lot to me. Thank you again. If you return to cologne I will be there😀👍👍👍
this is awesome. couldn't stay awake last night (I was not "Probably Up") east coast time! glad it's still up this morning!!! can't wait for your Lancaster, PA visit!!!!
Hey Gracie and Clyde…Me = singer, pianist, songwriter. You = singer, pianist, songwriter. Me = insomniac. You = insomniac. Me = lives on the East Coast and is awake right now past 2am. Taking this as a sign to finally buy tickets to one of your shows.

I couldn't watch the live stream (Europe here…) but thank you all a LOT for allowing us to watch it on RU-vid afterwords! What a show! In the meantime, I'm reading on the chat replay that the show for 21 and over! What the fuck?! Why on earth wouldn't this be appropriate for kids?
The first time I seen you was on a muted TV at work. I was sitting there watching and thinking to myself"Who are these terribly dress stage act!" Then I was able actually hear your music. Wow!!!! You both have mad talent. I can you're both up there having a good time and the audience just as much of a good time. Love the horn section!!!!!
3:00am and I'm definitely up- 5 videos in and no end in sight, never heard you before tonight 😱 So glad you will going to Lawrence, KS, because, you know... Hope to see you, expect sold out shows, cause people overdue to shake their booties 🎺
Me: seeing that there's still 20 smthn minutes left after their supposedly last song "is there gonna be an encore?? 👀" The crowd: "ENCORE ENCORE ENCORE" Me: ahh, there it goes. Thanks crowd, for keeping it going!
". . . screw the melotonin." Nice! Seems to me the brass section has a great deal of Chicago in many lines vs say Earth, Wind and Fire. Fabulous influences!
Sorry everyone else. These folks are running circles around you with their endless chops, astonishing vocals, great exciting charts, humor, positive energy , the whole shebang. Hook up some jumper cables and light up every house in the country. I agree, don’t 🎉want a cure for this addiction.
So great. One of my new favorite bands that I, like others have noted, have been binge-watching since discovering them. As a bassist, I'm loving your bassist's groove and pocket. And the drummer is super tight. Not to mention the soulful playing and singing of the band's namesakes. So great. Inquiring bassists want to know. I know it's been four years since this video, but any idea what the bassist's signal chain is? How is he getting that growl of that P-Bass?
As a Lawrence die hard fan (heard them first ca. April 2018) I think I really like THIS Lawrence better (as in this concert), where Clyde's SINGING dominates. Lawrence today is one where Gracie's voice is quite frequent, along with songs and a sound that seems not written by Clyde. I definitely love her enormous impact in the overall band's "sound" but it seems to me that the earlier arrangements which attracted me originally are more suited for Clyde's voice. In other words, Gracie's voice and compositions could go better maybe with another band where for example, it has less o no brass section . . . Anyhow, I loyally follow them --and consider it time well spent!, listening to whatever stuff they work and put out there! Cheers!
I would compare her voice to Sia. Gracie's voice is without a doubt technically amazing, a forceful voice filled with an amazing control, she's skilled and her bravery comes through. But i seen what you mean.
It’s like Stevie Wonder, Stephen Foster, sly Stone, Randy Newman, and throw in Terry Adams had a band with a babe who has no limits singing, dancing and being just totally bitchin’ all around. New fave band ever. Only tragedy is I’ll probably never be in this band.
I've been told I got a problem - 1000 years of killing sheep *CHICKEN FINGER Friday* if you feel it's on call my phone at night - I'm probably up ... scared to see the angel's light ... I'm probably up ... my high high high ... probably up ... even higher ...
Look, you may correct systemic lack in both your and surrounding generations and teach, mentor ... they lack something akin to what you name means, Gracie.
COME ON !! What a band !! Nothing but amazing. Im fully aware that ill never get the chance to see them live. Who's ready to pay them what they deserve! I am !! Come on, listen to that! Fucking beautiful !
