Living Alone in NYC | Trader Joe's haul, new matcha recipe, getting back in shape 

I am team TV. When it's raining outside, I just lay in my bed and watch old movies and relax. I turn it on in the morning to listen to the news while I get dress to prepare for the day (weather, traffic, etc.)

A tv in the bedroom is always nice for those lazy weekend mornings.

I love the idea of having no TV because it makes it more peaceful and an area of complete relaxation. But theres nothing like watching a good movie under your bed sheets lol.

Team TV in bedroom and living room because you may want to lounge and watch TV in either room!🤷🏽‍♀️😊 Besides, if you have guests over and want to watch a movie you don't want people in your bedroom that's your private sanctuary.

No TV in the bedroom = better sleep

I like the idea of a tv in the room. If you want to be extra, you could get a tv that looks like a piece of art as well. I also like the hanging plants in the front room.

Do you ever compare your two apartments? What are some things you miss? What are some things you love that you didn't have before? And is it just me, or is your new fridge ginormous? Are you glad you moved? I don't live in NYC, but with rent fluctuating like madness, I always see people always moving, but I know you mentioned in a previous video that you got lotteried into this apartment. Do you see yourself living here for years? Would you ever own in NYC? Also... are the upstairs neighbors noisy? Gosh... sorry for being so nosy! I love your videos - they are so calming!

Yes to that pretty green moss around the base of the olive tree.....on the top of the vase stuffed with more bags or crumpled newspapers. No to the TV in your bedroom, as you'll relax more with soft music, fragrant candles, a journal, a book of affirmations, etc. As a young creative, your ideas will flow in a space dedicated to all things nurturing and peaceful. 🧘🏽‍♀️ I'm on the fence about the location for the hanging plants. I know generally plants love light, but look how that gorgeous plant in your bathroom is thriving! Perhaps the hanging plants will enjoy the humidity just as much? 😏 It's nice to hear of your leisure pursuits such as picturesque picnics and book clubs. The place is really coming together--looks so awesome!!! I'm in favor of no tv in the bedroom; it makes it more of a sleep sanctuary. Amazon has a good skin tag remover strip--much cheaper than dermatologist (they charge 100s to remove them as it's "cosmetic." Is there a Trader Joe's near you or do you go into Manhattan for it? Great part about Queens is you get Manhattan views from the parks while still being just a few stops away! Wishing you a fantastic start to your summer break!

I also live alone in New York and don’t have a TV in my bedroom. It wasn’t a conscious choice, it just landed in the living room and I haven’t bothered to switch it. I actually have enjoyed not having it in my bedroom, although I don’t EVER turn it on, anyways 🤪 As for “The Summer I Turned Pretty” I read the book back in high school and remember it being one of my favorites at the time. It’s a nice, quick read. I just found out it’s been turned into a show, which is interesting.

Great video. I think adding moss to the tree in your bedroom would be nice. I’d try to adding something under the tree to give it a little more height then the moss. I enjoy having a tv in my bedroom, everyone is different.

Yes dear love everything, it's nice to see a bit of everything, I also noticed you had two money plants, or is it just the one there, "The Pilea" very pretty! I personally like succulents because they just get on with it, they can draw moisture from practically anywhere😄! Hope this is home now for awhile anyway?? It's nice to have such a long break from work enjoy it!✌🙋‍♀

You have a really nice sense of style for your home! And your videos are so calming to watch. As for the plants I would really recommend doing some research for each of them to see what kind of care they need. I've destroyed soo many plants by placing them in the wrong light, watering too much etc. Didn't use to care but now I feel sad when that happens :) For example the zz plant in your bathroom is perfect for that room since it can thrive even in a dark corner and without much care. The one you got as a gift will be nice for the corner space since it also doesn't require that much light. The Chinese money plant goes well in a sunny window, it will survive hanging in the corner though (it doesn't look very dark on video and it's facing the window) but maybe not thrive as much. Also for cleaning the plants, just spray the leaves with water from time to time. Plants love that! And give the roots space to grow. Most plants don't enjoy being confined in too small pots.

TV I think should be in Bedroom it would look better and comfortable looking at it in your bedroom. Can hardly wait to see your place (complete view) when your through decorating. Nice to see you working on being healthier. For months I've been getting people to try oat milk and they all say it's nasty. But I'm like somebody is buying it besides me so somebody has to like it.
