Thanks for the video! Do proof of funds on IEC have to be in Canadian dollar denominations or can you show proof of funds with your local currency like euros on pounds?

Would you recommend a ski season for someone that doesn’t like clubbing? I enjoy social drinking in pubs and bars but I can’t stand clubs. I feel like I’ll struggle to socialise if I don’t go out partying. What are your thoughts?

Majority of the establishments are bars with small dance floors. There is only one ‘club club’. There are social events throughout the week but they’re in bars and pubs! You’ll be 100% fine!

Hi Dana I was wondering if you could let me know how you got in contact with the whistler blackcomb resort in terms of employment and whether there was anything that i could do to aid this process.

Dana went through a company called The working holiday club, as explained in this video. However, myself (Tom) I applied through Vail resorts careers website. The jobs for winter are usually posted around June/July. I advise applying directly as the spots fill up very quick! I had my job offer in July for an October start date. There are third party companies like THWC, BUNAC, and i’m sure many others that have partnerships with Vail and they almost guarantee you a position. These are for working holiday visa holders only I believe. This can give you an advantage but obviously you pay them for that privilege. I went solo and managed fine alone, just be proactive and nail that phone interview. Best of luck.

Looking to apply for one of these, devestated i think i have missed the winter 23/24 season which would have been perfect. Would you reccomend i apply for the summer season and do a full year so stay on for the winter season after? A very large reason i want to go is for the snowboarding so i am worried i would be going for the wrong season but i think i could stick it out. Thanks for the vid

The summer season is just as beautiful and fun as the winter! I hear Banff Springs in the summer is an awesome gig! Plus if you get there for the summer you have a better chance at securing accomodation for the winter! :)

Thankyou! To cover all costs associated and to remain comfortable if anything were to go awry, I would recommend a minimum of $3000-$5000 CAD. Hope this helps!

Hello!! thank you for your video, I would like to ask you how or where did you apply for this kind of jobs? thank youu!!

I applied for a job through The Working Holiday Club. Part of their package is a secure job at the resort guaranteed! But other ways to do it is directly on the ski resorts career page or attending job fairs!

The Working Holiday Club (who is partnered with this video) is a company Australians can go through! You would have to search for one in your country :D

Hi Louise! I unfortunately can't mention specifics as it's different for each country. If you're interested in a Canadian working holiday, I'd urge you to visit the Canadian embassy and ask them specific visa questions or search for a company who can organise a visa on your behalf (if you're eligible!) I hope this helps! :D

Is everyone Australian? Or do you also meet people form other countries?

While there are plenty of Aussies around, there are people from all over the world. I met Tom in Whistler and he's English! We worked with people from the UK, Germany, Canada, America, Sweden, Kiwis etc!! There are people from everywhere!

Whistler=line up, mostly in the rain, and over pay for everything, while the B.C. Interior, skiing is less expensive, less crowded and has better weather than Whistler,
@DanaandTom

This program is in Whistler, Banff and Big White. So I chose whistler. I really enjoyed whistler. And it barely ever rained when I was there.
