Same. I am 33 year old now so I am the same age as you. I loved it so much though I only searched for interactive stuff to click on and never listened to stories. So much memory.
A girl classmate in first grade which i believed was my gf, would come over and we would play this and a couple more books all afternoon. She would love playing the cookie song over and over again
It's been 25 years since I played this with a childhood friend of mine on his father's 486 computer. After all these years, all I remembered was two thinhs, the smily face that coughed when clicked and the cookie song. Finally, I found it. Thank you good sir!
I miss Living Books 📖 since I was a kid. I wish they should create a Living Books App so we can read or play inside the story of our favorite childhood books in computer pc. Only on our tablets and IPads. It’s not a bad idea, don’t you agree?
I'm in the beginning of 30 year-old now and still find this fascinating to watch/play. I still find all the animations to be, even though outdated, kind of funny and creative. Is it just nostalgic reasons? Played this when I was around 5 or 6 years old I think. Clicking around to find surprises at every edge of the book was just awesome. I'm also sincerely curious about how the current 3 or 4 year-olds would react to these kind of games now. Would they still find this entertaining in some way?
Of course they would, but I dare say it would benefit from optimized touch screen controls for a phone or ipad/tablet. Still play/watch that game Full Throttle every now and then
I let my teenaged brother play one, finding all the animations is very fun, they really went all out making so many funny, creative little animations and hiding them all throughout.
Hi there, I am currently in the process of tracking down a download for these games. My boy is 5 years old and I'm starting to introduce him to computers. So these Living Books games will be a good start, I feel. Because it will allow him to actually use the computer himself.
Me and my friends in 4th or 5th grade were in a study hall class and the main menu of this game was on the computer for some reason. The teacher left us alone for a while and Arthur started dancing and we laughed ourselves silly... we kept running over and pressing the buttons before she got back. That's my memory of this game.
You can say that again, Mykan. D.W. Is a brat especially in the TV Show. I swear, sometimes her behavior makes me want to hire Stephen Stotch from South Park to ground her.
idk why but the paper airplane music just slaps so hard when you find it lol 1:01:17 these arthur games bring back so many good times when i was a kid. i think had like all of them at one point. same with the blues cluse games.
I forgot JUST HOW MANY little things you could click on in this one! Some them are even funnier and more clever than I remembered. Also, 23:53 was hilarious as a kid and still is now
Over the years I never completed the living book verison for this series as a kid I only saw clips of it on RU-vid but 2022 it took me a long time to finish
*YOU CAN FINISH YOUR MAP OF FLORIDA IN THE MORNING.* Seriously, how did Mrs. Read think Arthur’s map of Africa was a map of Florida?! (By the way, that looks like neither Africa nor Florida.) _sees Arthur take a book titled AFRICA into his room with his map-making supplies_ Mrs. Read: *FLORIDA*
Fun fact: no matter the hemisphere you live in, the school year always begins near the end of summer; August for you folks in the Northern Hemisphere, and February for us Southern-Hemisphere denizens.
12:42 - Uh-oh. Not only Arthur has the strictest teacher, but the weather is also being strict! Thunderstorms and showers while Arthur is doing his homework on his first day. 30:41 - D.W.'s bike is out of control! Watch out, D.W.! 😦30:46 - Ohhh! That's going to leave a bruise.
1:08:52 Let’s have a big hand for everyone in the Spell-A-Thon! 1:10:51 Thank you all for coming! We’ll see y’all at the September Spell-A-Thon next year!
They used to have this game at our public library in New Haven, CT in the 90’s… we could never get through it completely because there was a 20 or 30 minute limit on usage of the computers 🤣
She is the brat, if I was her father I would have banished her from the family and from Elwood in a shower of ofudas and yin yang orbs followed by a myriad of swords.
@@nathanbyberg I Had that idea ever since I had stumbled upon Touhou (the Yin Yang Orbs were and Ofudas were thrown by Reimu the Shrine Maiden and the knives were conjured and thrown by Sakuya the Scarlet devil Mansion maid)
Half the time during recess instead of playing on the playground structures I’d go to the library and boot this up on one of their computers! Ah my 4th grade days in 1992 were so innocent.
