Soopahsoopah what do you mean? I'm getting pretty tired of lazy turds that feel entitled to their dreams with no effort on their own part. If you want an awesome house, you'd better work your butt off and start saving/planning!
With Ryan's ru-vid.comUgkxy_pn55PK60wAV3X_C_RoLS_67mNonoCE plan I was like one taken by the hand and led step by step from start to finish. Thank you very much Ryan!
Wth I need more of these two, ASAP! Y'all appeal to me in so many ways. Living in nature, living with someone you love and respect, getting away from consumer culture, etc. Awesome vid
This house doesn't look particularly expensive to me, quite the opposite actually. It's pretty basic, although I hope they invested in some dang good insulation, I bet that thing gets friggin cold on windy winter nights!
Money is important when doing anything in this life. But if you kept all the money that you waste in day to day life you would be amazed how much you could have. Most people like to spend money for the sake of spending money????????????? If something is important to you. You will find a way to achieve it. If you are positive in your life. Life will be positive. People are very quick to give up on something when it gets to hard. The people who push through are the ones who realize there hopes and dreams If Your Dreams Do Not Scare You Then You Are Not Dreaming Big Enough.
They have not only built a breathtakingly beautiful home, but the way in which they describe the evolution of their relationship shows how they simultaneously built a stronger and natural life together. What a beautiful story ❤️
Very true. I spoke with a married couple who have worked/lived in a Fire Tower Lookout for the past 3 decades and there is also a correlation between the lookout tower and the evolution of their life together.
Lol because of fire watch I'm actually really interested in this stuff now. I'm trying to convince my dad to rent one of these so we could head out one summer. Ps they still have lookout jobs.
This is my dream come to life. The fire watch tower the view with the mountains plains and the river and most importantly standing off that balcony with someone special looking out at the sunset together
Wow i envy you all that space. My partner and i have 4acres, we grow and raise our own food. But both of us prefer nature to city life and the city keeps getting closer. Your story is great, thank you for sharing
It warms my heart to see that almost NO ONE has anything to say about them being a couple. It's a rare thing to see these days. Bravo to this perfect couple.
I’m in Thailand and there’s a small patch of land I can build on…your idea looks great…because we have mountains all around us. Thanks for your video..I’ll show it to my brother in law
It's hard to say, a heavy I-Beam can endure a lot of heat before deformation and it would take a very long and continuous fire to do so which doesn't happen in Forest fires because they are continuously moving.
I would LOVE to live in this home, View is where it's at for me. To wake up every morning to that expanse would be a thrill I'd never get tired of. . Now, walking up those steps in the dead of winter, hmmm, maybe, but worth it once I was there.
I couldn't hack living with another person like that. There's nowhere to go to be alone unless you want to wander around the mountain. I adored my late wife, but we would drive each other crazy in that place. It's not that it's such a small space, but that everything is in one room. You're always on top of each other (no, not literally :0).
I wonder if they ever have issues with lightning, or wind. Those are my biggest concerns but those slide-rule engineers have all that figured out I'm sure.
That is AWESOME guys! That's all you need right there. Garden even! LOVE the outhouse. AND outdoor shower which I got used to down the Cape. Has to be VERY cold outside to get me to use the indoor shower! After working with so many people all day and all the hectic ways of daily life, that sure looks good to me.
"we give each other the right to be different"... we could all benefit from that idea. Bravo Zillow for telling a different story. BTW.. that pie crust looks awesome. Mmmm Mmmmm!
Firewatch brought me here. They had me at cell service and internet. With internet comes Roku & netflix. I'd love to watch a movie with that kinda view in the background with a glass of wine.
Ah, I am truly delighted to have watched this. I wish my life partner of twenty-six years had lived long enough for us to have enjoyed something similar to this. Unfortunately hepatic cancer took him from me far too soon at only fifty-two.
+shay daversa - Thank you. It's been a pretty lonely sixteen years since his passing, and there hasn't been a day gone by when I haven't thought of him.
+Russell Leaming And that's the how and why of his living on. Keep those memories and stay strong. As e.e. cummings says, "Let a joy kill you. Keep away from the little deaths".
0:25 I just arrived there. I need to talk to these guys, I am lost. There isn't a single thing I could buy that would put a smile on my face at this point.
I envy it .. sadly, I can't imagine being so close to someone , to live in the middle of nowhere with em ! and goin up and down that many stairs every time I want to go anywhere !! what must it be like I will never know ! pass lol the views AMAZING !! I would have a garage FULL of rv toys , 4 wheelers , motor cycles , snow mobiles and such !
This is awesome! What beautiful scenery! I think I would have to have a dumb wader to haul stuff up, and a spiral slide to go down though :) My hubby and I would love something like that, however the 5 kids might disagree after a bit ;)
We have some fire towers in the state forest areas in southern NJ. At the "Apple Pie Hill" tower just outside of Chatsworth Burlington County you can see the skylines of Atlantic City and Philadelphia during very clear nights all year round. One of the great aspects of southern NJ fire towers is that the land for up to 50 miles in any direction never rises or falls more than 50 feet from one extreme to the other, so on a clear night you can see for more than 60 miles in all directions. Unfortunately, some people are terrified of heights and there is not much of a railing on the steps to hang onto. Most people that try to ascend the "APH" tower (60 feet high) don't get more than 25 feet up from the ground before they turn around and head back down.
I love all the possibilities for a design like this. It could easily be expanded upon by adding a deck on the 3rd or 2nd floor. Or if your me, you would build rock climbing walls on the inside of the tower with a safety net below! Also the deck is the most perfect hunters sniping spot. I would also add a human powered weighted elevator on one side for carrying up groceries and furniture. Maybe even a slide/firemans pole for quick dissent. OK IM GOING TO BUILD ONE NOW! This is so inspiring.
This is way cool. Beautiful surroundings and self-sufficiency to a degree. These guys have a good thing going, in more ways than one!! As a former Dallasite who also now lives in Oregon (Portland), I approve this message! :-))
Awesome video guys. I am envious of your views. Don't suppose you would like to publish the plans... I will build something like this eventually. Would like to be able to see what I am getting into sooner rather than later.
Jealousy - Fear or resentment of threat of losing something you consider your own. Envy - Discontent or resentful longing of someone else's possession, status, or achievement. You are envious not jealous.
